4 Page 4 of 7 Network Downtime (network, internet, Citrix and Cerner are NOT available) What is Downtime Viewer? Downtime Viewer is the application used to access and view patient electronic charts during a downtime patient information is available on designated computer(s) on each nursing unit (see above chart) Downtime Viewer displays near real-time patient data, which means that activities performed within the past few minutes, are available during downtime. Important patient data does not update during the downtime. there will be approximately 30 days of data that can be accessed on the patient chart If for some reason your computer goes down, you can still log in as yourself from the Windows login screen. Type your username, password and press enter. From the specified computer, double-click the 724AccessViewer icon on the desktop Log in with: User Name = admin, Password = admin and click OK For Almonte users ONLY, Login with User Name = admina, Password = admina

5 Page 5 of 7 Attention: Please be mindful of the Electronic Information Security policy when accessing patient personal health information. The domain will be audited for user access in the same manner as is currently done in the PROD (Production) domain. Searching for a Patient Depending on your facility your nursing unit may appear OR You can search for a patient by Last Name or Location and clicking the Search button

6 Page 6 of 7 Once you have hit the Search button the following Audit Information! window opens: - type in your Username - click to highlight the word Other - enter the reason for accessing the patient chart Printing the MAR Double click on the patient name to open the chart From the navigation bar above, click Medication Administration. Medications are documented from left to right (the oldest to most recent)

7 Page 7 of 7 From the Menu Bar at the top, click File, click Print Select the Print From dates. Make your selection(s) by checking the appropriate boxes under Sections: and then click Finish - verify the correct printer is highlighted - click Print Revised: May 2017
