1 EXTRA YARD FOR TEACHERS WEEK Social Media Toolkit This year s Extra Yard For Teachers Week social media toolkit consists of 12 social graphics, one video, and a bank of inspirational images to be used for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Six of the graphics are customizable with the ability to add your own logo, mascot, quote, and other unique features. The following document provides instructions on how to customize these social graphics. TOOLKIT HIGHLIGHTS

2 CUSTOM PARTNER STAMP This graphic can be used to show your institution s support for Extra Yard for Teachers Week. STEP 1: Copy and paste your logo onto a new layer in the folder PLACE LOGO HERE. STEP 2: Scale logo and adjust placement to fit within the blue guide lines. STEP 3: Open the folder titled EDIT COLOR BAR HERE. STEP 4: Double click on the Layer Thumbnail to SELECT COLOR BAR. Customize color that best represents your brand. Note: Black is the preferred default color STEP 5: Save and export file as JPEG or preferred file type.

3 CUSTOM DATE This graphic can be used to promote the specific date (if applicable) your institution is planning to activate during the week or in-game. STEP 1: Copy and paste your logo onto a new layer in the folder PLACE LOGO HERE. STEP 2: Scale logo and adjust placement to fit within the blue guide lines. STEP 3: Open the folder titled EDIT COLOR BAR HERE. STEP 4: Double click on the Layer Thumbnail to SELECT COLOR BAR. Customize the color that best represents your brand. Note: Black is the preferred default color STEP 5: Open the folder titled EDIT DATE HERE. STEP 6: Change the placeholder copy to reflect the desired date. Font is Arial Bold. STEP 7: Save and export file as JPEG or preferred file type.

4 CUSTOM MASCOT This graphic can be used to rally support for Extra Yard for Teachers Week and your institution s participation by using an image of your mascot. STEP 1: Open the folder titled EDIT COPY HERE. STEP 2: Change the name of the mascot placeholder copy to your desired mascot. Font is Arial Black Regular. STEP 3: Open the folder titled EDIT FOOTER HERE. STEP 4: Double click on the Layer Thumbnail to SELECT COLOR BAR. Customize the color that best represents your brand. Note: Black is the preferred default color STEP 5: Copy and paste your logo onto a new layer in the folder PLACE LOGO HERE. STEP 6: Scale logo and adjust placement to fit within the blue guide lines. 5 > CONTINUED STEP 7: Copy and paste a cutout of your mascot onto a new layer in the folder titled PLACE MASCOT HERE. Cutout must have a transparent background. If you do not have a cutout of your mascot, skip to Step 11. STEP 8: Scale and adjust placement of your mascot so that the mascot does not cover the copy. (Note: See examples from previous page for illustration) STEP 9: To create the white border effect, right click on Mascot layer > Select Blending Options. STEP 10: Select Stroke > Set size between px > Position set to Outside > Blend mode Normal > Opacity 100% STEP 11: Save and export file as JPEG or preferred file type. How do I cut out my mascot? Open a photo of your mascot in Photoshop and create a transparent background. Using the magic wand tool, lasso tool, or another method of choice, trace your mascot and delete any unwanted background. Export file as a PNG or copy and paste image directly into the Custom Mascot PSD file.

6 CUSTOM HEART This graphic can be used as a unique way to demonstrate your institution s love and support of teachers. STEP 1: Copy and paste your logo onto a new layer in the folder PLACE LOGO HERE. STEP 2: Scale logo and adjust placement to fit within the blue guide lines. STEP 3: Save and export file as JPEG or preferred file type.

7 CUSTOM JERSEY This graphic can be used to represent a student-athlete accompanied by a quote as the image caption about a teacher who made an impact on his/her life or a general thank you to teachers. STEP 1: Open the folder titled EDIT STUDENT NAME. STEP 2: Replace the placeholder copy with your name. Font is Arial Bold. STEP 3: Open the folder titled EDIT COLOR BAR. STEP 4: Double click on the Layer Thumbnail to SELECT COLOR BAR. Customize the color that best represents your brand. Note: Black is the preferred default color STEP 5: Open the folder titled EDIT JERSEY. STEP 6: Replace the jersey number placeholder copy with your desired number. Font is Arial Black Regular. Font size is 150px. STEP 7: Double click on the Layer Thumbnail to SELECT JERSEY COLOR. Customize the color that best represents your brand. STEP 8: Save and export file as JPEG or preferred file type.

8 CUSTOM QUOTE This graphic can be used as a visual way to represent a quote from a student-athlete or coach about a teacher who made an impact on his/her life or a general thank you to teachers. STEP 1: Copy and paste your logo onto a new layer in the folder PLACE LOGO HERE. STEP 2: Scale logo and adjust placement to fit within the blue guide lines. STEP 3: Open folder titled EDIT COPY HERE. STEP 4: Replace placeholder copy with desired quote in the text box labeled Quote. Font is Arial Bold. STEP 5: Replace placeholder copy with your first name, last name, and position in the text box labeled FirstName LastName, Position. Font is Arial Bold. STEP 6: Save and export file as JPEG or preferred file type. CREATIVE CONSIDERATIONS Depending on the length of your quote, you may have to adjust font size. We recommend using quotes that are short and concise.
