4 1. Release Summary This release includes a service release for VTrak E-Class E310f/E310s products Image Information is as follows: 1. VTrak E-Class E310f/E310s/E610f/E610s (Multi Image) 2. Fix I/O hang issues related to Path Failover 2. Fixed the case where a drive removal event was not propagated to the head unit when a drive was removed in one of the cascaded JBODs 3. Fixed I/O timeout issues when running with multiple JBODs over long duration. 4. Add code to provide an exit strategy for continuous drive timeouts. If more than 5 commands to a drive time out in 30 minutes, the physical drive will be set down 5. Since then Seagate dropped Maxtor SAS drive support, no further validation was pursued. 5 2 3 4 In Dual Controller Configuration, if one of the controllers is pulled out of the enclosure, the statistics for that controller will display all 0s. Any Controller in the Second Controller Slot of an E310 enclosure may report higher temperature than the Controller in the First Controller Slot. This is because the thermal sensor in that location is closer to the power supply. This is still under healthy threshold. E310s will not remove the HBA SAS Address from the initiator list even if the HBA is disconnected. Cosmetic Issue. No impact to functionality. No Workaround Available Check to make sure if the initiator is still connected and powered on before making use of the initiator information Subsystem alias is not synchronized between both controllers When a controller has an incomplete array and when it is shutdown, the shutdown might not be complete Transporting an array when an migration is in progress and inserting the drives in the enclosure while subsystem is running could lead to controller failure When Logical Drive Initialization with Pattern is running on a RAID6/60 Logical Drive and if the system is rebooted or a failover happens, the logical drive might be left inconsistent. Cannot exit from maintenance mode if two controller versions are different GUI screen display issue with Netscape 10 browser in Advance Configuration. The configuration can still be created. In Main Help Menu under RAID Conversion, it is mentioned that RAID6 can also do RAID 11 migration. This is misleading, as RAID6 migration is not yet supported. Not able to start rebuild 20 In GUI, Add Logical Drive to existing array will not show on New Logical Drives table on Firefox and Netscape The new LD can still be created. 21 RAID or more drives/more than 5TB cause controller kernel panic. 22 Mac OS has limitations with LUN masking and LUN affinity Please use IE or CLI/CLU for these type of operations. Browser Issue. Fixed in Firefox version and Netscape Please upgrade to these versions. To make smaller logical drive under 5TB. See app note 23 Under Mac OS there is 2TB logical drive limit.
