3 User Administration Guide Users are created in the Access Control System, which is a tool that enables Head Security Designates and Security Designates to create, maintain and manage their Users. The product options in this document reflect Experian s business product line. New users are created and must be assigned a company, a role and a portfolio. The following pages will illustrate how to accomplish these tasks. Creating a new user STEP 1: Go to the online Access Control System portal at In the middle of the screen, enter your User ID and Password. STEP 2: Once you have logged on to the Access Control System, you will be presented with the screen below. Click the Add User tab to create a new user. For existing users, there are no changes to this new user creation process, same process as within BizApps today. 3 9/30/2010

4 STEP 3: Within the Add User screen, step through each of the fields (at minimum enter all required fields): A. Click on the User ID field and enter an ID for the user. B. Enter the user s Last Name C. Enter the user s First Name D. Enter the Street Address E. Enter the City/Town F. Select the State/Province G. Enter the Zip/Postal Code H. Select the Country I. Automated for password distribution Only check this box if you Do Not want to send the automated password to the user. J. Enter the user s address - The address will be used for all security communications. It is highly recommended that each user has a unique address to ensure that User ID and password information is passed to the correct individual. K. Re-enter the user s address for verification. L. Enter the user s telephone number. M. Enter an Optional Descriptor if desired - The "Optional Descriptor" field can be used to further define a role within the company (e.g., loan services, loan origination, sales, purchasing, etc.). This field is optional. N. Select the Start Date of when you wish to start access to BusinessIQ. O. Select the End Date (if applicable) of when you wish to end access. P. Select the Role of the user: (1) Designate (2) End User - The "Designate" box should be checked if the user being created requires the ability to create other users. Q. Click Save 4 9/30/2010

5 STEP 4: Once you click Save. The system will provide a confirmation that your user has been saved. STEP 5: When the system returns to the screen, scroll down to the Available Products section and click on the BusinessIQ radial button. Then click Assign. 5 9/30/2010

6 STEP 6: Select a subcode from the drop down list. Click Add to add the subcode to the Assigned subcode box. (Repeat step if user is assigned to multiple subcodes.) Then, when all subcodes for the user have been assigned, click Save. STEP 7: Changes are saved, now you MUST assign a Company, Portfolio and Role or users will not be able to access BusinessIQ. 6 9/30/2010

7 STEP 8: The system will take you to the User Setup tab. Make sure the right company is selected. This view will appear when there is more than one company available. Search for a company or Select a displayed company from the list and select Select & Return to Assignment. STEP 9: You now MUST assign a portfolio and a role. Make sure the right company is selected. Select Change Company if you would like to change the User Company. Within the Portfolio Assignment section, select at least one Portfolio from the available list to assign to the user. The All Accounts portfolio is a default portfolio. A portfolio must be selected for a user to have access to BusinessIQ. Repeat assignment step if multiple portfolios will be assigned to this user. 7 9/30/2010

STEP 10: Once you ve completed assigning the portfolio(s), scroll down to the Role Assignment section. All users MUST be assigned a role. The role provides certain permissions to each user. Details on these permissions can be found in section 12. Select a predefined role from the role drop down list (i.e. credit analyst, credit manager, etc.) or Select Manage Roles to create a custom role see Custom Roles. An analyst has basic product options. A credit manager has additional product options. These predefined roles are associated to specific BIS products. Click on Save. STEP 11: The system will return the message below once the user has been set up for BusinessIQ. 8 9/30/2010

9 Editing Existing Users STEP 1: To edit an existing user's profile, such as address, information, subcodes, company, role or portfolio you must first locate the profile within the Access Control System (ACS) - Type in either the user's ID or the user's last name and click "Search". You may also edit a users company, role and portfolio. STEP 2: You will be presented with a list of matching users. Click the appropriate user's ID to display the profile. STEP 3: The system will take you to the user s profile where you can make changes to the existing profile. 9 9/30/2010

10 STEP 4: To change subcodes, the company, portfolio or role scroll down and choose the Assigned Products tab, select BusinessIQ and then click View Modify. This will display the Assign Subcode screen. Select subcodes and click the Add or Remove buttons. Save your changes by clicking Save. 10 9/30/2010

11 STEP 5: To change the user company, portfolio or role select the BusinessIQ tab. Here you have the ability to change the company associated to the user as well as change the current portfolio and/or role assigned. Make your desired changes and click Save. 11 9/30/2010

12 Changing Roles STEP 1: Roles can be changed by either editing an existing user, (see Editing Existing Users) or by selecting the System Administrator tab within BusinessIQ. The User Search screen displays and you must first locate the user. STEP 2: Type in either the user's Login ID, First Name or Last Name and click "Search". Matching users will be displayed in the Search Results panel. Select the matching user by clicking the users Login ID. 12 9/30/2010

13 STEP 3: The User Profile and User Setup view will appear. The role can be changed by selecting a role from the Role dropdown. To create a custom role, see the Custom Roles section of this document. Additional portfolios can also be added if they are available by selecting one from the Available Portfolio window and clicking the arrow button to move it to the Assigned Portfolio window. Click Save to save your changes. 13 9/30/2010

14 Custom Roles STEP 1: To create a custom role, select the System Administrator tab within BusinessIQ and click on the Role tab. STEP 2: Default roles and permissions appear. Select Create a new role and the New Role screen appears. 14 9/30/2010

15 STEP 3: Enter a Role Name, Role Description and select the individual product options/permissions to be assigned via the Credit Products, Alerts, Portfolio, Decisioning and Others tabs. Click Save to save your changes. You have now created a custom role that can be assigned to users. 15 9/30/2010

16 Roles & Permissions All BusinessIQ users must have a company, role and portfolio assigned. The matrix below shows the permissions available for each of the existing roles. The role provides certain permissions to each user. Select a predefined role from the role drop down list (i.e. credit analyst, credit manager, etc.) or Select Manage Roles to create a custom role if the existing roles/permissions need to be modified for your company see Custom Roles. An analyst has basic product options. A credit manager has additional product options. These predefined roles are associated to specific BIS products.
