2 Step 1 Introduction System Requirements: A PC or MAC desktop or laptop computer. Tablets and mobile phones are not supported. An Internet web browser must be installed. The web browser must be the most current, up-to-date, version available for your operating system. Current versions of the following web browsers are known to work well with Direct Access: Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed in order to view payslips, tax forms, and other files generated in portable document format (PDF). Visit to download and install Acrobat Reader. The program is free. Pop-Up blockers must be disabled in order to view payslips and tax forms. Follow the instruction for your installed web browser to disable the Pop-Up blocker. This presentation demonstrates the procedure for changing your password and address in Retiree & Annuitant Self Service. The procedure for setting up a security question is also demonstrated. 3 Step 2 Introduction, continued It is important to setup the security question and answer along with adding your address. If you happen to forget your password you can use the "Forgot My Password" link on the login page to have the system send you a new password. You'll have to provide the exact same answer to the security question and have access to the account for the address you entered in the setup process. Page 3 of 21
4 Step 3 Enter User ID Enter your user ID. This is the same as your Employee ID number, which can be found on your Retiree/Annuitant Pay Slip. Page 4 of 21
5 Step 4 Enter Password Reminder: PASSWORDS ARE CASE SENSITIVE! Enter your password Your default password will be setup for you initially. You will be prompted to change it upon login. The formula for your default password follows: CG + last 4 of your four digit birth year. For example, if the last 4 digits of your SSN are 1234 and you were born in 1956, your default password is CG1234@1956. The password is case sensitive, so be sure to capitalize the CG when you type it in. Page 5 of 21

10 Step 9 Enter New Password 15 Please make note of the new password you create. Remember, passwords are case sensitive! Enter a New Password following these rules: 1) Global Pay passwords must: a) Be between 15 and 32 characters long: b) Include at least 1 number, and c) Have at least 1 special character. For # $ % & * ( ) - + \ [ { ] } ; : /?. 2) Passwords are case sensitive. You should use both lowercase and capital letters in your password. 3) Your password cannot be the same as your User ID. 4) Don t use passwords that are based on personal or any other type of information that can be easily accessed or guessed such as your address or children s names.
