New Cut Queue in Vision Batch functionality, support for multiple cutters 4. General bugs fixing. 1. Support for ARC on ProCut G3 cutters ProCut Vision 4.5 supports the use of ARC (Automated Router-bit Changer) on G3 cutters. From the Main window of Vision, there are two new visuals related to the ARC. A new Run-bar button and the ARC tool cabinet near the machine keypad. The Run-bar button is used for configuration of the ARC cabinet. Once you click the button, the ProCut tool head is moved away and the cabinet opens. The operator now got access to insert/remove router bits from the cabinet positions within the ARC system. Note! There are 9 positions. P1-P8 is operational. P9 is used for the safety pin only.

2 The dialog below appears when you click the ARC-button from the Run-bar: The dialog shows what bit positions are installed and which are empty. Furthermore, the operator can enter the Router Bit Type e.g. R203-A 3mm in the text field near the tool position as done in above example for P3 = position 3. Note! Make sure to configure bit positions correctly and enter adequate names in the neighboring text fields. Ideally make the customer install the bits into permanent positions within the ARC e.g. 3mm bit in P3, 4mm bit in P4, 5mm bit in P5 etc.. to standardize the setup if possible. By default, there are 6 x ø6mm positions and 2 x ø10mm positions available in the ARC. Ø10mm positions for V-bit, Polisher etc.. After Router bit configuration, click OK to confirm the bit placements. The ProCut machine now scans the cabinet to identify mounted router bits. In ProCut, you can at any given time see which ARC positions are occupied and which are empty and which is actually mounted into the 1kW router spindle. 3 From the Main window of Vision, the operator can right-hand click onto the ARC cabinet to see a dialog of the actual Router Bit configuration inside the cabinet. Managing the ARC cabinet from ProCut media profiles is done by adding a P1, P2, P3 to P8 text in each of the layers used in a media profile. See below examples of the media profile Acrylic 10mm (polisher) 1kW note how each layer reference a Router bit position P1-P8 within the ARC cabinet.

5 Activation of ARC in ProCut Vision 4.5 is done automatically. Click shift+setup to access the service dialog see that ARC is enabled in the bottom check box list.

6 2. ProCut Vision face lift ProCut Vision 4.5 has been face-lifted ProCut Vision now got the same feel and look from menus of Prepress. And the Run-bar icons have been updated. Main changes of ProCut 4.5 vs. previous ProCut versionss are: a. Production mode selection has been moved to layers menu instead of being near the play button.

7 b. Cut Media Manager button has been removed from layers menu and is now available as a Run-bar button. c. d. Copy Media button (to create a new media) is removed this is now done from within the Cut Media Manager only. ITI controls click. are available from the ITI-positions within the GUI by a right mouse e. The hidden Cut Queue and Old Jobs function from right mouse clicking on the Play button is replaced by a new Cut Queue.

8 3. Integrated Cut Queue in Vision ProCut Vision 4.5 includes a Cut Queue. Operators can easily switch from the ProCut Cutter tab to the ProCut Cut Queue tab. ProCut Cutter Window ProCut Cut Queue The Cut Queue tab is divided into an upper part (the Cut Queue) and the lower part (the History Queue). Cut Queue contains the jobs ready to cut the ones being worked on now, today, tomorrow. The History Queue contains jobs that has been cut, where copy count has reached zero. The user can drag job(s) up and down between the queues and within the queue to e.g. set cut order or kit jobs together.

9 Jobs appear automatically Jobs prepared in ProCut Prepress automatically appears in the Cut Queue in the same way as in the (Prepress Cut Queue). ONYX cut files will also appear automatically using the Océ ProCut device driver within ONYX. Having cut files appear into the Cut Queue automatically provides a smooth workflow between prepress, printing and finishing departments. For ONYX files to appear, setup a barcode hot folder on ProCut Server preference dialog is required. Besides browsing to the correct path for the ONYX cut files, the type of cut file needs to be selected (ONYX Thrive). Editing jobs Jobs in the Cut Queue can be opened in the Editor and edited with regards to Production Mode and Media settings just like from within the Cutter tab. Cutter controls The ProCut G3/S3 can be operated from both tabs e.g. start cutting, vacuum on/off and other functions can be controlled from both tabs. Other functions like setting/deleting/showing start point is only possible from the Cutter tab where the user relates to the actual function.

10 Import / opening jobs Barcodes and file import is possible in both tabs. In the Cut Queue multiple files can be imported/loaded into the Queue in one time. Customization of Queues Cut Queue and History columns can be customized by the user to display the desired information in the order they prefer. Job details like Customer, Order ID, Due Date etc. from Prepress will be carried onto the Vision Cut Queue. Estimated Cut time will also be shown. When the job has been cut and is moved to History the Actual Cut time is then displayed.

11 Filter, Cut Order, Pin jobs Jobs can easily be located through the filter search within the Cut Queue. Recurring jobs can be pinned in either Cut Queue or History Queue for easy retrieval. A specific cut order can be organized by sorting on any of the columns and by dragging jobs up/down in the Queue. If a Cut Order has been set from ProCut Prepress this order will be displayed on the Vision Cut Queue. Prepress, Set Cut Order Vision Cut Queue, sort on Cut Order

12 Batch run jobs From the Cut Queue, it is possible to batch run jobs meaning running a selection of jobs from the Cut Queue one-by-one after each other. In the Queue, multi select the desired jobs and right mouse click or click Play-button to start cutting. It is only possible to batch jobs with identical Production Modes e.g. Manuel Sheet Mode can t be batched with Roll Mode. The batch functionality in its current stage is useful for non-printed jobs cut on sheets or rolls. Also with normal printed graphics jobs, batch mode works, however, ProCut Vision will possibly require the user to guide the camera on top of the first registration mark on each job/copy. Multiple ProCut Cutters connected to same ProCut Server When more G3/S3 ProCut cutters are connected to a Server, Cut Queues of each of the Vision clients will be simultaneously updated with each new ProCut Prepress and ONYX job. When a job is cut one cutter (no matter which) and the copy count reaches zero, the job will automatically be moved to History on both Vision clients. Unless pinned on one or the other. Pinning and deletion is done locally and doesn t influence the other Cut Queues connected. It is possible to cut the same job on several cutters.

13 Auto archiving dynamically cleaning up Cut and History Queues It is possible to setup rules for auto-managi ng files in ProCut Vision Cut Queue and History. This is done throughh the setup dialog. This dialog specifiess if jobs are to be automatically removed from the Cut Queuee respectively the History Queue. Removes means to delete jobs from the lists, however all cut files (prepress files) are naturally stored in its folder structure on the ProCut Server as normal and can at any time be retrieved again. Max. jobs is the maximum number of jobs including pinned jobs to be shown in the list. Max. days is the maximum number of days that jobs will be kept in the list.
