1 November 6, 2012 The March 2012 election was a Presidential Preference Primary election with Presidential Nominee elections for the Democratic and Republican parties and elections for the Democratic State Central Committee Members, Democratic Parish Executive Committee Members, and Republican Parish Executive Committee Members. It also included regularly scheduled elections for Greenwood, with the only contested seat being for Greenwood Alderman at Large. The April 2012 election consisted of five Law Enforcement propositions, five propositions for the Parish Commission, one proposition for Fire District 7, and one proposition for the North Caddo Hospital Service District. Louisiana returned to open primary elections during the 2012 election year. The November 2012 featured the regularly scheduled elections for President, U.S. Representative, Ida Alderman, Oil City Mayor, and Rodessa Mayor. There was one special election for Court of Appeal Judge, due to retirement of Judge Charles Peatross. Additionally, the election included nine Constitutional Amendments and one local option proposition for the School Board. The December election included one proposition for the City of Shreveport and was only for voters registered to vote inside Shreveport. Unless otherwise noted, charts show only the Caddo Parish portion of results.
