4 Step 1 and 2: Account Management Step 1 Log in to Analysis Center Step 2 Create Athletes and allocate Licences Step 3 Install App to Phone or Tablet Step 4 Step 5 Record swimming Step 6 Browse swim data Step 1. Go to login.trainesense.com with Coach account received in . Password is send in a separate . Step 2. Go to ATHLETES view. Here you can create athlete accounts and allocate licences for them. Data can be collected only to athletes with valid license Same addresses cannot be reused. Password requires 8 characters, one must be number. Face stars smiling when password is acceptable. Athlete can login, change password and see only his own data. Existing Athlete accounts and their license valid information will be visible on the bottom. Number of remaining daypasses is displayed here. Don t waste Daypasses for athletes with Monthly licences. Activate monthly license by providing activation code to Athlete. Format of the license is XXXX XXXX (eight characters) Each activation code moves license valid date for purchased time forward

5 Step 3: Install App and Login Step 1 Log in to Analysis Center Android devices: Launch Google Play store application and search Trainesense. Install Trainesense App. Apple devices: Launch App Store application and search Trainesense. Install Trainesense App. Step 2 Create Athletes and allocate Licences Step 3 Install App to Phone or Tablet Step 4 Step 5 Record swimming Step 6 Browse swim data When Trainesense App is installed, the Icon appears to Application grid Login with Coach Account only. Not possible to login with Athlete Account. Re-login required after 7 days

8 Step 5.1: Pair swimmer to a (Devices view) Step 1 Log in to Analysis Center Step 2 Create Athletes and allocate Licences Step 3 Install App to Phone or Tablet Step 4 Step 5 Record swimming Step 6 Browse swim data Turn on Bluetooth If Bluetooth isn t already enabled, the application will enable it. Press allow. Display available athletes and Left: restart App to reload Athletes Right: Press scan to search fast blinking (s). Differentiate You can rename your by pressing the cogwheel. Pair with Athlete Existing pairs and right/left hand information (RH/LH) is displayed on bottom Add pairs by selecting and pressing Add Selected

9 Three more things before action Its time to learn three more terms before starting to record swimming: Session Set Lap Session is one recording session sharing the same characteristics ( Athlete name, Training Style, Pool Length, Keyword ) New session is created by re-entering the Session view in App (see next page) Set is one individual recording A set starts when the recording starts and ends when you stop Automatic recognition is reliable if a set includes a consistent swim (same stroke and same effort) Lap is one pool length of swimming This will be automatically recognised from the recorded data Example: Andy Athlete swims 3x100m freestyle in 50m pool with breaks in-between. The coach loads data from sensor during the brakes. The session will look like this in Analysis Center: Session Set1 Lap1 Lap2 Set2 Lap1 Lap2 Set3 Lap1 Lap2

10 Step 5.2: Record swimming (Session view) Exit session By going back, new Session is created Step 1 Log in to Analysis Center Step 2 Create Athletes and allocate Licences Step 3 Install App to Phone or Tablet Step 4 Step 5 Record swimming Step 6 Browse swim data Enter session data Fill in the fields and press Start Session. It is possible to edit the metadata later in the Analysis Center Start recording Recording button is used to start and stop recording. Button indicates what happens when pressed. Use the button when hands are above the water. Use stopwatch Other buttons are independent from recording and can be used as normal stopwatch. All the split times of the session can be seen by pressing Athlete field Stop recording Press Recording button to stop recording. You can either Load or discard data. Loading data Normal load time is less than 5sec per 30sec recording. Load time is hugely dependant on used Phone/Tablet.

11 Step 6: The first day of your new life. Start to see your swimming like never before. You can access the data with any device regardless of location. All you need is Web Browser & Internet access. Tip You can access data quickly by switching to Web Browser. After analysis you can switch back to App for continuing recording Save password in Browser to ease future log in This view is from Huawei Honor 8 Android Phone 1 LIVE view LIVE view is optimised for instant feedback by the pool. All the recordings of the latest date are automatically updated every 30sec. When multiple swims are recorded during the same day, select 1) ATHLETE, 2) SESSION, 3) SET 3 2

12 Troubleshooting In any problem, reset the first Reset button can be found from the back of Pressing the button firmly for 10 seconds will switch off the device Blue LED turns off when the device is switched off When reset button is used to switch off, device won t wake-up when moved (see step 4) Press button shortly to switch on. Red Led is on for few seconds and Blue Led starts blinking.

Shake to wake it up. Place to the charger. If battery has drained totally empty, SmartPadlle enters Deactive State when charging starts. After charging needs to be activated by pressing Reset button once. Press button once. enters to Deactive state if resetting itself for some reason (it shouldn t normally happen). Press button once. Hard Reset device by pressing Button 10s, release button and press button once again. Contact support Press scan and repeat few times if still not visible. If still not visible, close Trainesense application and try again. If still not visible, Hard Reset (Figure 6) and Shut Down and restart your phone/tablet. If still not visible, contact support. Release : Unpair and athlete if pair visible in Pair Devices view or shut down Trainesense application (also from background) or sign out from Trainesense application or disable Bluetooth from Phone/Table for a while. Pair, associate it to an athlete and proceed to the session view (see Figure 4). Start tracking -> stop -> tracking and discard the data. After that SmartPadlle can be used normally again. Try to shadow LED surrounding with hand or shut off lights if necessary to see if Red LED is on Place near to ear when pushing Button with thumb. It should be possible to hear if button is pushed down or not. If not hearing or feeling anything, just press button hard (press with thumb and support with middle finger from the other side)
