Please note that the sound for all of the equipment in the room is controlled on the touchpanel and comes out of the TV s

4 ITV CONTROL SYSTEMS TOUCHSCREEN CONTROL ITV CONTROLS Tap the screen to turn on the system Tap the controls on the left side of the screen to toggle between the Cameras, Computer, DVD player and Document Camera Use the arrows on the screen to move the camera to where you are, or use one the preset camera positions. Presets vary from room to room. Press the up arrow and down arrow to control the volume of DVD player, computer and the other class TANDBERG REMOTE

5 PROJECTOR & SMART BOARD CONTROL SMART BOARD CONTROLS If the projector screen is frozen and not displaying what is on your computer screen, the projector is most likely not been released from the last person using image express on the other campus, simply press computer 2 and then go back to computer 1 on the gray NEC projector remote to regain control. More information about image express can be found on the next page. Press here to turn on the ceiling mounted projector and SMART BOARD. Press COMPUTER 1 to show what is on the Desktop Computer or the Document Camera on the SMART BOARD Press VIDEO to show a DVD or VHS on the SMART BOARD Press OFF to shut down the projector when you are finished using it.

6 NEC IMAGE EXPRESS PROJECTOR CONNECTION NEC IMAGE EXPRESS Open NEC Image Express on the Desktop Image express allows the user to take control of a projector in a different room or in this case a different campus. The students will see whatever the computer is presenting through the projector. CHANGE INPUTS TO RETURN CONTROL IF THE OTHER CAMPUS HAS NOT GIVEN CON- TROL BACK TO YOU: SIMPLY PRESS COMPUTER 2 ON THE PROJECTOR REMOTE. Select your Connection Select the room you would like to connect to from the list. Click the box next to the room name and press connect. IF THE ROOM YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT TO IS GRAYED OUT HAVE THE STUDENTS ON THE OTHER CAMPUS PRESS COMPUTER 2 ON THE PROJECTOR REMOTE. AND THEN PRESS UPDATE Wait for Projector to Connect If the projector is off you will receive this message. Please be patient and wait for the projector to turn on. After the projector has turned on you will see this dialogue box, this lets you know that you are connected to your selected room. PLEASE DISCONNECT IN THE STATUS TRAY OR LOG OFF THE COMPUTER

7 FAQ FAQ FAQ Q: The projector screen is frozen and not displaying what is on my computer screen. A: The projector is most likely not released from the last person using image express on the other campus, simply press computer 2 and then go back to computer 1 on the gray NEC projector remote to regain control Q: The other campus is to loud or to soft. A: Adjusting the volume control on the touchscreen or the remote increases or decreases the volume to other campus without decreasing or increasing the volume you are sending. Q: What happened to Netmeeting? A: Netmeeting was not included in the new updates to Vista or Windows 7. Many of the same features of Netmeeting can be found in NEC Image Express which allows you to take control of the projector on the other campus and project through it without using the computer on the other campus.

8 NET MEETING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING: In order for NetMeeting to work the computer on the other side must be turned on and must NetMeeting open. You MUST make arrangements ahead of time for the computer to be turned on and to have net meeting open please ask a student or your faculty secretary on the other campus. Log into the computer in the room with the generic login the username is ITV and the password is: ridgewater23 Open NetMeeting on the desktop (blue/green world icon). Under the menu bar in the selection space, type the IP for the room you are connecting to. With the correct IP number entered in the line, click on the telephone to the right. Room Room Room Remember you are now in control of the other classrooms computer, they cannot interact with you over the smart board. They see what you write, but cannot write
