1 BRIGHTGAUGE/CONNECTWISE INTEGRATION STEPS Introduction & Getting Started! Welcome to BrightGauge, the best way to produce amazing Customer Facing reports with data from ConnectWise and your RMM. Getting started is easy, fast, and secure. All you have to do is go online to pricing/ and choose a plan that works for you. Once you pick which plan you will enter your Credit Card information and pick your subdomain (example This will be your custom domain to create those amazing reports. Once you create an account you can choose between two methods to connect BrightGauge to your ConnectWise data. BrightGauge is a hosted platform and therefore pulls data securely from your ConnectWise data source and RMM database (every minutes). Option 1 - BrightGauge Agent The Agent- based solution is for ConnectWise On- Premise customers only. This connection involves downloading the BrightGauge Agent, installing it in your network, and securely connecting back to BrightGauge s datacenter. The agent is most popular among On- Premise customers as it provides more ConnectWise Gauges within BrightGauge than the API method. It is also how you will connect to your RMM database. For the steps for to install this agent after creating an account with BrightGauge you can go to: installation/ Option 2 - ConnectWise API Integration with the API of ConnectWise allows ConnectWise hosted partners to take advantage of this great reporting solution. If you are an on- premise customer you can always choose to use the API connection. This method does not require any ConnectWise Database Read- Only User Name or Passwords. See below for more steps on how to connect to BrightGauge via Connectwise API. Feel free at ANY time to support@brightgauge.com for any issues or questions.

2 ConnectWise API Integration 1. Setup ConnectWise Integrator Login a. Search for Integrator Login under Setup Tables, and click on the Integrator Login table. b. Click the "New Item" icon. c. Fill in a Username and Password, choose "All records" and select all available APIs. d. Since BrightGauge is reading only from your Connectwise data you can fill in any Service Board, enter in localhost for Ticket Callback URL, and select any Member. These three requirements do not impact BrightGauge in any way. Once complete, click the "Save" icon.

3 2. Setup ConnectWise API service within BrightGauge a. After creating an account at you will be asked to continue to the onboarding pages within BrightGauge. b. If you are using the API, you can select the Connectwise Cloud icon (along with the RMM you are setting up). NOTE: If you are On- Premise and want to use the BrightGauge Agent follow the steps located here: up- brightgauge/

4 c. Fill in company name and site used for ConnectWise, along with the username and password for the Integrator login created in section 1, then click Continue. d. For Filter Purposes only, please select the agreements you would like BrightGauge to filter by when importing customer names, then click Continue. Note: you will have a chance to choose exactly which customers you want to import into BrightGauge. e. Select the boards you would like to show in reports, then click Continue. Only tickets from these boards will show in any report.

5 f. Click the large red Continue button once you are done configuring your services Note: if you are connecting to your RMM, you will have to follow similar steps as above. g. In this last step you will select the company names and information to import into BrightGauge. These names are pulled from your Connectwise database that are under the agreements you selected. If you have also connected your RMM database, the names of your customers in that database will be populated in the dropdown menu on the right. Here is where you will map the Connectwise data with your RMM data by selecting the corresponding company name. You are now complete with your integration! for any issues or questions.
