8 Where do you change the settings? Before you begin, most switch interfaces (including R.J. Coopers Bluetooth Switch Interface or Ablenet Blue2 Bluetooth switch, etc.) are Bluetooth devices and need to be paired to the ipad the first time you use it. Bluetooth needs to be turned on in the Settings panel of the ipad. Then, the switch interface must be turned on for the ipad to see it. The first time it will ask to pair the device to your ipad in a sense connecting it wirelessly. Later, when you turn your switch on (if Bluetooth is turned on) your switch will automatically connect to the ipad. Setting switch access to an app in the Settings listing Shown here is a screen shot from the Settings window of the ipad. Scene & Heard is the app that is selected from the list on the left, and the settings for it are shown in the window to the right. Options are available to choose the Access Method Direct Touch or Switch Access, Scanning Rate, etc. Switch settings for Predictable, Tap Speak Choice and Tap to Talk are also found in the Settings panel.
