2 Installing Applications The goal today is to give you the resources to be able to purchase and install applications for your Child s ipad. We will also look at managing free space on your device, Microsoft Office as well as some tips and tricks. If time, I am happy to answer questions and or give a quick run through of our ebook System and Explain Everything App.

3 Purchasing Apple has an offical online stores where you can buy applications, these are safe to use, this is the only way you can put applications on an ipad. ipad - App Store App - Requires an an Apple ID Apple IDs are officially for 13 and over It is fine to use your account on your child s ipad Just don t give them the password!

9 Keep Automatic updates on! this occurs on when connected to wireless networks only. You can turn off Music, Apps and Books if you have several devices and you do not wish for them them to be installed on all devices automatically when they are installed on one device.

15 Tips & Tricks You can remove apps from an ipad and put them back on later for free. This can save space removing apps that aren t necessary right now Organising Apps on your ipad Try and keep at least 2GB free or issues can arise It s always movies and to a lesser extent pictures that fill up ipads.

16 Updating to the latest version Operating System ios 10.2.x - via General -> Software update Your ipad will often remind you to update.

17 Microsoft Office 365 Subscription for all Stretton Students requires activation Activate by entering your address <EQ then signing with your username and login PC instructions: learningplace/help/home-computer-support.pdf ipad: Just download Word, Excel and Powerpoint then activate, kids are able to do this themselves in class.
