Once declared surplus these items may be sold and/or recycled resulting in modest proceeds and cleared space. Mr. Eagan suggested that the items be sold via govdeals.com. After additional review of the govdeals website, as requested by the Board, CFO Eagan reports that a number of local governments including DuPage County, McHenry County, DuPage Forest Preserve and Buffalo Grove Park District presently use the site successfully.
