13 CHEMUNG COUNTY ROUTE SLIP * PERSONNEL REQUISITION Resolution awarding bid to Kimble, Inc. on behalf of the Chemung County Nursing Facility (RFB-1858 CCNF Handler Replacement Project) Resolution #: 03 Slip Type: SEQRA status CONTRACT Explain action needed or Position requested (justification): The Nursing Facility has an approved Capital Project for 2016 to replace its air handling unit that has exceeded its useful operating life. Construction contract bids were received from two companies, and the low bid was submitted by Kimble, Inc. in the amount of $439,700. Engineers from Labella Associates have reviewed the bid submissions and determined that the bid submitted by Kimble is in conformance with the bid and contract specifications. The budget for this project is $862,215 (Bond Resolution ) which includes $82,000 for the professional engineering services. Replacement of the air handling unit will be scheduled in the fall after the chiller system has been turned off for the season. Vendor/Provider Kimble, Inc.
