1 Midland Independent School District Procurement Services Request for Proposal # Technology Equipment Summary of Proposals On September 16, 2016, Midland ISD Procurement Services requested sealed proposals for technology equipment. Two hundred and three invitations were issued and eight suppliers submitted responses. These proposals were opened at 2:00 PM on October 4, A committee of seven members reviewed the proposals: The committee s evaluation was based on the award criteria as stated in the proposal document is as follows: Per Texas Education Code Sec (b), the District shall consider the following criteria. 1. The purchase price; (75 points) 2. The reputation of the vendor and the vendor s goods or services; (5 points) 3. The quality of the vendor s goods or services; (5 points) 4. The extent to which the goods or services meet the district s needs; (10 points) 5. The vendor s past relationship with the district; (5 points) 6. The impact on the ability of the district to comply with laws and rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; (0 points) 7. The total long-term cost to the district to acquire the vendor s goods or services; (0 points) 8. Any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for proposals. (0 points) Per the committee s evaluation, MISD Procurement Services is recommending the vendors to be to be awarded the contract(s) as indicated by the green highlight on the attached tabulation. Awarding to multiple vendors will allow the District to obtain the best pricing and services that meets the needs of the district. The contract(s) will be for one year effective November 15, 2016 to November 14, 2017, and may be extended for one (1) year with the written agreement of both parties.
