1 Excel 2013 Presented by Neal Miller, Director of Integration and Application Services Envision USA Learning Outcome Standard: This program is based on the standards for workbooks and data structure as it pertains to Microsoft Excel Disclosure of Proprietary Interest Envision USA is a subsidiary of SunLink Health Systems, Inc., corporately owned in Atlanta, Georgia. Envision USA helps clients by formulating, designing, implementing and enhancing diverse IT solutions. Envision USA is the IT backbone for HealtHIE Georgia. Envision USA does not have any proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service, or material discussed during this learning event. The education offered by Envision USA in this program is compensated by the HRSA Small Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) grant. 1

2 Excel 2013 Purpose of Today This is an introductory course for the use of Excel 2013 that will guide you through the Excel 2013 interface and increase your understanding of the follow items: Document creation, editing, and saving Formatting text, lists and paragraphs Working with tables, columns, and other formatting features Working with headers and footers Excel 2013 Learning Outcomes By the end of this presentation, you should be able to: Describe the Office 2013 ribbon and menu interface Describe how to edit, move and copy data Identify steps and options for formatting data Describe how to sort data in Microsoft Excel List ways to utilize formulas within Microsoft Excel Identify the Help options in Office 2013 Identify top reasons it is important for hospital leaders to efficiently use these programs in the healthcare environment Identify other audiences that need to know this information and need to collaborate in this area Identify action items to take in response to this training 2
