1 CHOOSING SLO S FOR THE ASSESSMENT YEAR. From your program s home page click on Program Planning. Click on Program Assessment Plan.. With your program team, select an SLO that you will assess this year then click on the edit button for that SLO.. Click in the Outcome Assessment Cycle field and choose the current assessment year.. Click on Save. 6. Click on Return 7. Repeat process for a total of SLO s for the assessment year. 6
2 USING FILTERS TO DISPLAY ONLY CHOSEN YEARLY SLO S. From the home page, go to your program s Program Assessment Plan page.. Click on the blue filter symbol at the top left of the page.. Click in the Outcome Assessment Cycle field and choose this assessment year.. Only the SLO s chosen for this assessment year will be displayed. Click the x in the top right corner to close the filter.. TO DISPLAY ALL SLO s at any time. Click on the blue filter symbol and click on the Clear Filters button. All active SLO s will be displayed again.
3 ENTERING DATA/RESULTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR. From your program s home page click on Program Planning.. Click on Data/Results.. Select that SLO for which you plan to enter assessment data or results and click on the carrot to the left of it.. Select the assessment tool for which you plan to enter data or results and click the plus sign to the far right of it. This will open the Data/Results entry page.. Enter all required information on the Data/Results entry page. Be sure that your Data/Result entry is thorough and complete. Remember that a No in Achievement Target Met is not always a bad thing- it shows that you are assessing effectively and have found room for improvement. 6. Click Save. 7. Click Return. 6 7
4 ADDING IMPROVEMENT PLANS. If you are not on the Data/Results page- Click on Program Planning and then Data/Results.. Click the carrot to the left of the SLO to which you plan to add an Improvement Plan.. Click the carrot to the left of the Assessment Tool to which you plan to add the Improvement Plan. (NOTE- the Improvements field only appears after you have entered assessment data/results for an assessment tool.). To add an Improvement plan, click the plus sign to the far right on that data/result. This will open the Improvements entry screen.. Enter the Improvement plan including an intended date for completion. 6. Click Save on the top right of the screen. 7. Click Return on the top right of the screen. 6 7
5 ADDING FOLLOW-UP TO IMPROVEMENTS. If you are not on the Data/Results page- Click on Program Planning and then Data/Results.. Click the carrot to the left of the SLO to which you plan to add Follow-up information.. Click the carrot to the left of the Assessment Tool to which you plan to add the Follow-up. (NOTE- the Follow-up field only appears after you have entered and Improvement plan for data/results in an assessment tool.). To add Follow-up to an Improvement plan, click the plus sign to the far right on that Followup field. This will open the Follow-up entry screen.. Enter the Follow-up information including the date of completion. 6. Click Save on the top right of the screen. 7. Click Return on the top right of the screen. 6 7
6 ADDING A NEW SLO, ASSESSMENT TOOL, AND TARGET. From the home page, go to your program s Program Assessment Plan page.. To Add a new SLO- click on the plus sign to the far right of the Student Learning Outcomes field. This will open the SLO entry page.. Enter the SLO name, SLO, Outcome Status (Active), and an entered date.. Click Save in the upper right hand corner of the page- then click Return. 6. Once you return to the Program Assessment Plan page, you can add assessment tools and targets by clicking on the plus sign to the far right of the Assessment Tools field. This will open the Assessment Tool and Achievement Target entry window. 7. Enter your Assessment Type, a thoroughly described Assessment Tool, and a meaningful Achievement Target. This process can be repeated for each new Assessment Tool. 8. Click Save in the upper right hand corner of the page- then click Return
7 ADDING A DOCUMENT TO THE DOCUMENT REPOSITORY. From your program s home page click on Documents and Document Repository. This will open the Document Repository page.. To add a document to your program s repository, click the plus sign on the far right of the Document Repository field. This will open the Document upload page.. Choose the General folder. (NOTE- You can add and use other folders for your program if you choose. Contact the IE Office for details).. Click in the Click to browse for files field. This will open your computer s folder system. Choose the file from your folder system that you want to upload and click open.. This will insert the file into the Name field. You may add a description if you wish. 6. Click on Save. The document will be added to your repository. 6 7
8 RELATING A DOCUMENT TO A DATA/RESULTS ENTRY. To relate a document to Assessment Data/Results- click on Program Planning, and then on Data/Results.. Click on the carrot to the left of the SLO to which you want to relate the document. Click on the carrot beside the Assessment tool to which you want to relate the document.. Click on the tool symbol to the far right of the Related Documents field. This will open the relate document page. (NOTE- the Related Documents field will not appear until you have entered Data/Results for an Assessment Tool.). This page is drag and drop - you can click on any document in your Document Repository field and drag it into the Related Documents field. The field will turn green as it copies the document, then the document will remain in the Related Documents field. You can repeat this process for as many documents as you want to add to this Data/Result. 6. When you have finished adding documents, click Complete at the top right of the page. 6 8
