1 Checking Project Status and Markups After logging into the Eplan/Project Dox system with Internet Explorer, you will first be brought to a screen very similar to the one shown below. There is a menu bar on the top right, as well as two sections below containing vital information on your projects. The top section is a list of your projects with the City of Chicago. The bottom section is a task list for actions expected from you for your ongoing projects. To lookup project status, click on the project name in the top or bottom section. This should bring you to the projects page similar to the one on the next page.
2 From the project s page you can run project reports to get status information on your project. Click on the button titled Project Reports in the upper right corner of the page. The arrow below shows its exact location.
3 Clicking the button will open up the Project Reports page, from which you will be able to access both the status of your project as well as all markups via a trio of links. Those links are marked by the arrows on the page below. You may also try runing the other reports on the page. The underlined reports are the most commonly used.
4 First we will go to the DOB multi Workflow Routing Slip page. This link can be activated by doubleclicking on its magnifying glass icon. See below: After clicking on the link, it should bring you up a new window showing the following page:
5 This page will allow you to see if a workflow tasks have been completed but not the result of a task. The default project selected on this report will be the one you were already looking at in the system but can be changed to any of your other projects in the system. For dropdown boxes 1, 2 and 3 select a distinct workflow from the list. If your project do not have multiple workflows then you need to select only the workflow available. You can leave a dropdown box blank if needed. After selecting workflows, simply click on the View Report button in the top right. This should bring you to the following page: Each workflow will be listed separately on the page. Each workflow will show a task, its status, when it was created, last updated, the ID of the individual updating it, the task user (either reviewer or applicant), how many review cycles the project has gone through so far, when it was completed, and the total minutes, hours and days required to complete it.
6 While the Workflow Routing Slop report give you the status of a review it does not show the result of the review. To get the task result you will need to run the Review Status report. Go to the Projects Reports page window and double click on the Current Project Department Review Status link. Make sure your mouse is pointing to the magnifying glass icon in order to open the page. This will open a new page similar to the one below: In order to see the Review Status of any Workflow, select a Workflow you wish to see and then click on the View Report button. This will bring you to the following page. Arrow is pointing to a + button.
7 Each number on this page represents the number of review cycles the project has been through. In order to see the information contained on this page, you must click on the + buttons next to the numbers. This will then show the previously concealed information like shown below: In this case, we can see the Department of Buildings discipline that did reviews on the Group Name column, the Reviewer name from that group, their , of the person assigning the review, and then finally whether or not the reviewer approved the review or requires corrections for it to proceed.
8 Next we can look at the project s complete list of markups. This can be found by simply going back to the Project Reports page window (there should be multiple Internet explorer windows open at this point). Double click on the magnifying glass icon for the Project Markups Listing link. This should open a new page similar to the one on the next page.
9 On this page is listed, from left to right, the Markup name, the text of each markup, when the markup was added, name of the file/drawing containing the markup, the first & last name of the reviewer, and finally their contact .
10 If you encounter errors while attempting to follow this guide, please log out of the system and log in again to see if it was a session error. If the same error repeats itself, you will need to document it to improve our IT staff s ability to test and fix the issue. To document the error, simply bring up the page with the error report and make certain that window or page is top most of all Internet Explorer windows. To take the screenshot, simply press the Ctrl + Alt + PrtScn keys together. You can find the PrtScn key (or a key similarly labeled) usually near your keyboard s F12 key. Next you will need to paste the screenshot into an open word document using Ctrl + V. Please leave a short description of the problem in an to your Project Manager and attach the Word document with the relevant screenshots of the error. This will greatly aid our staff in understanding your problem and speed up the process of fixing it.
