1 QuickSpec Overview Purpose Use this document to review the QuickSpec application. Trigger Perform this procedure when you need to use QuickSpec to generate a specification. Prerequisites You are logged in to the QuickPack Home Page. Transaction Code Helpful Hints Kohler Power Systems required a globally acceptable spec writing and sizing program without pricing rules for distributors, engineers, contractors and customers. QuickSpec is not integrated with the quotation system; to create a quote or place an order, all information must be reentered in the quotation system. Page 1 / 20

3 QuickSpec Start Screen From this screen, you can generate specifications for Generators, Switchgear or Transfer Switches. 2. As required, click to select options in the following fields: Field Name R/O/C Description Fuel Type: R Fuel Type Example: Frequency: R Frequency Example: UL-2200: R UL-2200 Example: Diesel 60 Hz Yes Page 3 / 20

4 Field Name R/O/C Description EPA Certified Engine: R EPA Certified Engine This field defaults to Yes for US sales. Example: Yes 3. Click to go to the Model Configuration screen. Page 4 / 20

5 Model Configuration 4. As required, click to select options in the following fields: Greyed-out fields are required. 16 Comments Document You have options for the type of specification you wish to generate. 1. Click in the Spec Version field. Page 16 / 20

17 Document You have the option of printing a Long Spec, a Short Spec in table format or a Short Spec in paragraph format. All specifications are generated as described in previous step.
