3 Introduction and Tool Access Welcome to the ComTrac Quick Quote user guide! Ally s Quick Quote tool gives you 24/7 access to our quote generator directly from the Ally Dealer Portal or the dealer storefront. May 4, 2012 Page 3

4 Getting Started This section is designed to get you started using the Ally Quick Quote online tool. Let s start by learning where everything is. Locating the Ally Quick Quote tool in the dealer portal: Step 1. Open your web browser and go to Ally s dealer portal located at Step 2. Using your Ally dealer portal ID and password sign in to the secure dealer portal. Step 3. Once your login credentials have been validated by the portal, you will be presented with your secure portal homepage (sample below). Locate the Retail Sales & Service tab across the top and select the link. May 4, 2012 Page 4

5 Step 4. When the Retail Sales and Service tab is presented (example below) click the link for ComTRAC Quick Quote Tool found under the Commercial Financing & Leasing heading. Step 5. After clicking the link, the quick quote form should appear providing a number of fields to input specific details about your customer and their transaction (example below). This form, when completed, will provide a quote amount based off of the customer information entered for a more detailed quote or to create the ComTRAC documents needed for remission to Ally, click the ComTRAC Quote and Document Generator link from the Retail Sales and Service tab. 6 Locating the Ally Quick Quote tool on the Dealer Storefront: Step 1. Open your web browser and go to Ally s dealer portal located at Step 2. Down the left hand side of the screen mouse over the link titled Your Tools and from the menu that opens next to it select ComTRAC Quick Quote Tool. May 4, 2012 Page 6

8 Using the ComTRAC Quick Quote Tool Now that we have located where to find the Quick Quote tool, let's dive deeper into the features and capabilities and where you can look for additional help in completing the forms. For the below, let s assume that you have successfully invoked the Quick quote page as described above and look at some of the components of the page itself. Step 1. Move through the four fields inputting the appropriate customer information in each of the blanks provided. If the information you have provided is in an incorrect format or a field is left blank you will note that the application provides feedback via red text and highlighting as seen below. Note that all four fields are required to generate a quick quote: Step 2. As we reach the bottom of application, you will note that you have two options calculate and reset. By clicking the reset button you will be prompted (example below) to validate this selection and if confirmed, all entered information will be cleared. May 4, 2012 Page 8

9 For now, let s hit calculate and see what happens. Step 3. Once calculate is selected (assuming all the required mandatory information has been inputted) you notice a few things occur: First, the row of selectable buttons will expand and two new options will be available to you, Save and Print as seen below. In addition, you will notice an information box has appeared to the right of the inputted fields which provides you the calculated values for Residual Amount and Estimated Payment Amount. 10 Step 4. Now that you have your calculated values, let s take a look at the two new options available to you, Print and Save. By clicking the Print button, you will open the print preview window. When the window opens, the printing function of your computer should automatically begin. By clicking the Save Button, you will start the tools.pdf creation process which, when complete, will prompt you to select the location on your local computer where you wish to save the.pdf formatted version of the quote sheet.
