2 functionality overview 2 The following document outlines the scope of work for the build and development of westking.ac.uk website and Content Management System (CMS). Reference is made using graphic visual layup pages derived from the approved visual designs. This document will be used as a central point of reference for build and development of functionality requirements for the project. Information within this document requires review and sign off prior to the build and development as agreed in the initial proposal document and contract. The Hideout should be notified immediately of any indiscretions in functionality. Any additional change requests that occur outside the scope of the document will be recorded within Basecamp as a point of reference. All change requests will be reviewed and costed accordingly. The site will be developed as a Wc3 compliant, fully responsive website design across desktop, tablet and mobile, developed across OS with browsers from IE7+, Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

7 7 9 homepage image carousel The home page carousel has the ability to add images and advertising to site header in the form of a large configurable box extending across the top of the website with the following functionality: Dynamically updatable for title, sub text, image and internal/external page hyperlink A box can be configurable to just: Display Image Display image with dynamic call to action message containing a title, sub text and internal/external page hyperlink Display image with internal/external page hyperlink (used with pre created adverts*) *Ability to use pre-created Advert images containing text within the image and click advert box to navigate to advertised content within the site or external source. All hyperlinks to external hyperlinks to open in _blank window Internal Hyperlink - Select any current live page within the site from a drop down menu in CMS functionality. Ability to select top level and all sub navigation pages. Carousel to rotate automatically through images and adverts to a pre-determined sequence. Ability to manually scroll through carousel using left/right arrows either side of carousel image. Example of movement: 10 social media widget A floating widget that remains static as user scrolls page, with links to the following channels: Facebook - facebook.com/westminsterkingsway Twitter - twitter.com/westking YouTube - youtube.com/wkcollege123 Flickr - flickr.com/photos/westminsterkingsway Contingency to add more social media channels to widget. Ability to manually scroll through using up/down arrows at the bottom of the widget If only two advert boxes, scrolling arrows disabled and not displayed, automatic scrolling disabled Adverts are re-orderable in CMS with the ability to control the scroller and activate/ deactivate automatic scrolling when required.
