This service is responsible for handling redirection of requests from any of the COSEC entities Note: This service should keep running in all cases for proper functioning of COSEC components. COSEC Visitor Management Service Service for managing following activities: Managing requests from COSEC VMS Utility Desktop Application. Auto Updater Updated Services and Utilities when upgraded Master Service is found. COSEC Dongle on Device Added support of License Verification with dongle on device. The provision to read the Dongle from Device, giving the end user the flexibility to have Server dongle free. The configuration to switch the Dongle from Server to Device is provided in Admin Management Portal Web Utility. As of now Device Dongle is supported in COSEC PANEL LITE V2 and VEGA device only. Discontinued COSEC Components/Features: COSEC Alert Utility All provisions moved to COSEC Web > Admin Module COSEC Security Service It is mandatory that the dongle is present on the system where COSEC Master Service is installed to keep the application running. Roster Module This Module and its corresponding features have been discontinued since V12R01. VAM Module This Module and its corresponding features have been discontinued since V12R01. 7 This Page has the functionality of creating a filter of selection of employees, User wise and group wise. Once the users are selected, the shifts changing options will be available by Left clicking on any shift of the day. There is one more option provided, where you can right click on any shift of a day, which will copy that shift and you can then paste that shift on any other day of the Users. All the changes are auto saved. Time and Attendance: Daily Attendance View Added provision to view daily attendance view based on custom date range. Manage Attendance Added new page for centrally managing Attendance of Users. This is also a replacement to Attendance Exceptions page. Added check for Restrict Half Day Consideration. This page will help changing the Status, Shift and Schedule of a User. You can also do manual status change and Attendance Correction for the User. The Filter has the functionality to select the exceptions you want to be available for your required/selected Users. For e.g. if you have set the Filter to show only Full Day Present and Full Day Absent options for Manual Status Correction, then rest of the Half-Day options will not be available to select. You can also, apply for Leave, Tour and C-Off from this page. Form 28 Report Updated Father/Husband Name column to Father/Spouse Name. Custom Attendance Register Report Added Net-Work Hours to the report. Leave Management: All the Applications in Leave Management Module will not have Half-day options available if Restrict Half Day Consideration option is ticked on for the user. 8

Installation Procedure Refer the video if you are installing COSEC V12R1 for the first time: Matrix COSEC Software Installation Upgrading Procedure Follow below mentioned steps if you are upgrading from lower version of COSEC to COSEC V12R1: Step 1: Take Database Backup. Step 2: Copy and Paste COSEC V12R1 from Matrix Live FTP. Step 3: Run COSEC Installer as an administrator from COSEC V12R1 folder. Step 4: System will ask you to uninstall all previous COSEC components. Click on OK. 10

10 Step 5: Click Install all the components of COSEC again but with an upgraded version. Step 6: Enter server and database details. Step 7: Select all the components and proceed further. After the installation is over, COSEC Software will be upgraded.
