3 Introduction This document describes new functionality for the software release for ARGO 7.0, 7.0 eco, and 12.0 ATMs for United States and Canadian market. The differences described are from version Platforms Affected This release is for the following families: ARGO 7.0, 7.0 eco, and 12.0 Hardware Support The following is a list of hardware supported by this software: Display: 12.1 Color SVGA, 7 Color WVGA Card Reader: MagTek 215 Dip Reader, Sankyo ICM330 Dip Reader, Sankyo ICT3K7 Motorized Reader EPP: Triton SP-07 and Sagem EPP Dispenser: SDD, MiniMech, NMD50, SCDU, HCDU Printer: Seiko 80mm/60mm USB Printer Modem: Triton USB Modem, TDL Gateway Modem Software Requirements The following load files are included with this release: xd34wtcs3.3.0c.tfv Full load file (7 Display) xd34scsf3.3.0a.tfv Full load file (12 Displays) Note that the above software is installed at the factory and no installation is necessary in the field for this release. 4 Description of Changes Touch Screen Display (ARGO 7.0) For the ARGO 7.0 ATMSs, a touch screen is included and can be used for any Management Functions or Customer Transaction function. Note that the keypad can still be used for numeric entry or navigating in Management Functions. Advanced Dispenser Security Module The ARGO ATMs include a new dispenser security module which provides for advanced security between the main board of the ATM and the dispenser itself. This includes a requirement to synchronize the security module in the vault to the main board anytime either of these components are changed in the ATM. Note that on new units the synchronization will be done at the factory. In the event a main board or security module is changed, the system can be synchronized using the following process: Main Menu > Diagnostics > Dispenser > Initialize Dispenser (previously called Reset Dispenser to Defaults ): After selecting Initialize Dispenser, the system will display the usual prompt that all dispenser and cassette properties will be reset. After confirming, the following message will be displayed: Triton Systems Page 4 of 13 April 15, 2013

5 At this time the button on the security module in the vault must be pressed to put the system in the mode to synchronize the device (refer to your user manual for information on the security module device). Then press Enter to continue with the initialization process. The system will display a message indicating that the device was successfully initialized or not. Note that if the system has already been synchronized, selecting the Initialize Dispenser function will only reset the dispenser parameters as before and does not require the user to press the button on the security module. If the security module has not been initialized, the terminal will display error code 570: Dispenser not initialized. Triton Systems Page 5 of 13 April 15, 2013

6 Electronic Receipts (ARGO 7.0) The ARGO 7.0 ATMs have the capability to send customers electronic receipts, or e-receipts, instead of printing paper receipts. e-receipts can be either an or SMS (text message) to a customer s account or cellular phone. This option is only available if the ATM is setup to use TCP/IP or wireless, this is not available for dial-up ATMs. To configure the ATM to send e-receipts, go to Main Menu > Terminal Configuration > More Options > Electronic Receipt Host Config and make sure the option is enabled and configured as noted below (new ARGO ATMs will have this information and password pre-configured): Note that if a main board is replaced, the password must be reset by calling Triton technical support. Select option 8 to perform a test connection to the electronic receipt host to verify everything is configured properly. Triton Systems Page 6 of 13 April 15, 2013

7 Once setup, the customer will see an option to get an e-receipt instead of a printed receipt: After the transaction is completed, the customer will be able to choose whether they want an or text message receipt. Note that text messages must be enabled for each ATM contact technical support or your sales representative if your ATM is not displaying the text message option. 9 Management Reports (ARGO 7.0) When viewing a report in Management Functions, there is now a new option (#7 ) to send the report text to an address. 11 Virtual Keyboard The ARGO ATMs include a new option for the on-screen virtual keyboard that is used for alpha entry in Management Functions to use a cell phone style entry method, referred to as Phone Entry in the lower right corner of the display. The ATM will default to the current alpha entry method, referred to as Triton Entry. The ATM will always use the last entry method selected for all management users. For ARGO 7.0 ATMs with touch screen, the following keyboard will be displayed by default: For ARGO 12.0, the only addition is the ability to change the entry method by using the bottom right screen key: If Phone Entry option is selected, the ARGO 7.0 ATMs will display the following: The ARGO 12.0 ATMs will use the following: Triton Systems Page 11 of 13 April 15, 2013

12 Note: When using the virtual keypad in Diagnostics > Modem/Ethernet > Configure Modem or Triton Connect Settings, the virtual keypad must be brought up before entering this menu. Ad Graphics The advertisement graphics sizes are different than the current Triton RL/FT/RT machines due to the resolution of the displays. The following lists each advertisement graphic area and size (with pixel sizes in width x height): ARGO 7.0: Full Screen Ad: 796 x 476 Welcome Ad: 446 x 294 Transaction Ad: 796 x 300 ARGO 12.0: Full Screen Ad: 796 x 596 Welcome Ad: 408 x 329 Header: 796 x 90 Transaction Ad: 796 x 341 Modem Communication Time Improvements This release contains previously released changes to speed up the dial-up modem communication time. With this change the modem connection process time could decrease by 1-4 seconds depending on the ATM configuration. Note that instead of seeing modem settings of 7-Even-1 in Management > Diagnostics > Modem/Ethernet > Device Status, the host settings will be set to the following: Byte Size: 8 Parity: None Stop Bits: 1 This is normal and will not affect communications to the host processor.
