A significant problem has been resolved on the PC/Windows platform with corruption of the wavelets and wavelet database when the "Edit" option was used. In addition there are many other enhancements, including the support of PC/Linux platform which includes the OpenWorks and SeisWorks links. The following list summarizes all of the corrections and enhancements. GEOVIEW (3.3) 1. OpenWorks WLEX: Updated to fix an error that occurred when checking out the OpenWorks runtime license. 2. Corrected a problem in the sampling of the depth-time and check shot data when exporting them to an ASCII file. 3. Avoided resetting of the original input log amplitude unit when an unknown LAS log type was corrected by the user. 4. Stopped the user from accidentally blanking out a well name in the well list table. 5. Fixed a bug when loading a single LAS file with more than one P-Wave log; two depth-time curves were created for each P-Wave. 6. Supported the Linux platform. elog (3.3) 1. In the PC/Windows version, editing the phase of a wavelet would corrupt it. This problem is now fixed. 2. Fixed a window flashing problem when one of the curve tracks was too narrow. It usually happened when starting the log correlation option. 3. Fixed an error when displaying more than 10 tracks and the tracks were moved in different order. 4. In Log Blocking, added option to block on the latest modified curve rather than just on the original one. 5. In the Math.../Normalize Log option for P-Wave logs, fixed the option to copy depth-time table. 6. In the Math.../Clip option, fixed the option to replace a clipped sample with the amplitude of the preceding good one. 7. Clarified the handling of amplitude units in the Math.../Add, Divide, Subtract, Multiply, Normalize, Linear and Exponential functions. 8. When applying the Faust's Equations on multiple wells, the resistivity unit was set to blank after the first well was computed. Corrected.

2 9. Fixed an error in the measured depth scale display and mouse pointer annotation when a deviated well was shown with the true vertical depth as the regular scale on the left hand side and the measured depth as the irregular on the right hand side. 10. Fixed an error in the range specification for cross-plotting deviated well logs near the bottom of the well. 11. Fixed an error in the sample rate value when exporting zero-offset synthetics to an external file, both ASCII and SEG-Y. It happened when the window display sample rate was not the same as that of the wavelet. 12. The Table option can now save the modified data when the project has no modification other than that from this Table itself. 13. The Replicate Log Name option in the cross plot menu now works. 14. In the Math or Transform options, fixed a bug in copying the depth-time curve when copying the P-Wave in the case that the original tied depth-time curve was stored using the non-default name. 15. FRM now keeps a copy of the original log when overwriting the existing one so that Undo can be applied. 16. In the Systematic Change option, fixed the error of incorrectly modifying one sample more right above the top of the specified target zone. It would not be noticeable when the log curves were finely sampled. 17. Fixed a program hang when the reset button was used in the menu selecting cross plot data. 18. Supported the Linux platform. 19. Shared some of the seismic handling updates as in the other programs. AVO (5.2) 1. Supported the Linux Platform. Modeling: 1. Improved and sped up post-critical reflection calculation in Zoeppritz modeling. Added an option to mute all the post-critical events for Zoeppritz and Aki-Richards modeling. 2. Avoided a crash in the modeling when the processing sample rate was small (e.g. 0.1 ms). 3. Stopped the AVO Inversion applying to an empty seismic bin. Processing: 1. Increased the maximum number of traces output for the supergather from 100 to Fixed an error in the Rp \ Rs extraction process that caused the Rp and Rs values to be incorrectly scaled. 3. Fixed an error in showing gradient curves within the Pick Analysis display when angles were used instead of offsets. 4. Fixed an error where the Pick Analysis option sometimes did not show up on the first trial. 5. Avoided the selection of Gradient Curve in the Pick Analysis display when post-stack data was shown. 6. Avoided a possible crash when copying seismic window with the Pick Analysis curve display on. 7. Avoided a possible crash when running the AVO Attribute Map with velocity from external SEG-Y file. It might happen when the velocity volume had a non-zero start time. 8. Allowed user specification of the smoother window length when cutting data slice of the weighted polarization product. 9. In the PC/Windows version, editing the phase of a wavelet would corrupt it. This problem is now fixed. 10. Fixed a crash when exporting a trace from the seismic window when the first bin was empty. 11. Increased the width of the volume and variable name columns in the Trace Math menu. 12. Set the trace ID code to type "seismic" for the output wavelet in SEG-Y format. 13. Fixed a bug in displaying a data slice generated from a window showing multiple seismic volumes and with 14. Removed the automatic reset of color key (for the Positive Data type data) on the Seismic Display dialog when 15. Do not allow loading of SEG-Y file with no file extension. 16. Allowed flattening on Arbitrary Lines using a 3D horizon. 17. Stopped the user from accidentally entering a blank output data name in all processing options. 18. Fixed a bug in the measurement unit in the time-to-depth conversion option.

3 19. Fixed a mix up of the inline and xline labels in the cross-section window of the cross plot module. 20. Added a toolbar specification of line number in the seismic cross-section window of the cross plot module so that jumping a line can be done faster. 21. Added room for entering project title text when making CGM hardcopy. 22. Solved the problem with handling 8 bit seismic data on the SGI platform. 23. In the PC/Windows version, fixed a possible problem with loading IEEE/IBM SEG-Y seismic data using XY and EMERGE (3.3) 1. Fixed a program crash during NN training when two horizons crossed each other. 3. Fixed a crash when exporting a trace from the seismic window when the first bin was empty. 4. Increased the width of the volume and variable name columns in the Trace Math menu. 5. Added Broadcast of cursor location from all Seismic dialogs and basemap via OpenSpirit (without requiring read of seismic data from OpenSpirit). 6. Fixed a bug in read horizons from OpenSpirit when the connection would hang and not all the horizon values would be read. 7. Allowed writing of horizons back to an OpenSpirit server. 8. Set the trace ID code to type "seismic" for the output wavelet in SEG-Y format. 9. Fixed a bug in displaying a data slice generated from a window showing multiple seismic volumes and with 10. Removed the automatic reset of color key (for the Positive Data type data) on the Seismic Display dialog when 11. Do not allow loading of SEG-Y file with no file extension. 12. Allowed flattening on Arbitrary Lines using a 3D horizon. 13. Stopped the user from accidentally entering a blank output data name in all processing options. 14.
