1 Data Convert Manual For Two PCs

2 Follow the steps below to convert data of OTRS8 to that of OTRS10 in "SEPARATE PCs". Export Data Collect Files Convert File Import File (1) Flow of exporting and importing data Below is a flow chart of exporting and importing data of OTRS. (i) Export Data (ii) Collect Files (iii) Convert File (iv) Import File You need (ii)collect Files when OTRS8 and OTRS10 are installed in the separate PCs. Copyright 2016 Broadleaf Co.,Ltd. 3 (2) Export data from [OTRS8] Create XML file exporting data of analysis, comparison and combination chart from OTRS8. 1. Click [Analysis Data Export] in [Tools] menu. [OTRS Analysis Data Export] window appears. 2. Check items to export in Select column. 3. Click [Reference] of [Save file name] area. [Save As] window appears. 4. Enter file name and click [Save]. The window of the right appears. 5. Click [OK]. The window of the right appears after finishing export of data. 6. Clikc [OK] to end. An XML file is created. 3 Copyright 2016 Broadleaf Co.,Ltd. 4 (3) Collect files used for [OTRS8] OTRSMovieCopy collects files of movie or narration used for OTRS8. OTRSMovieCopy resides in the following path of the installation DVD. tools MovieCopy OTRSMovieCopy.exe Insert the installation DVD into PC of OTRS8 and execute manually the program of above path. OTRSMovieCopy can be downloaded from the program download page at OTRS maintenance support site. Please see the site for the details. 1. Double-click [OTRSMovieCopy.exe]. The window of the right appears. 2. Click [Reference] of [OTRS 8x Explorer File] area. [Select Export File] window appears. 3. Select the XML file created at (2)-6. and click [Open]. File name of selected XML appears at [OTRS 8x Export File] area. 4. Click [Refence] of [Destination Folder] area. 4 Copyright 2016 Broadleaf Co.,Ltd. All rights reserved.

5 [Browse for Folder] window appears. 5. Select a folder to where collected files are copied and click [OK]. Selected folder name appears at [Destination Folder] area. 6. Click [Start]. The window of the right appears after finishing file collection. 7. Click [OK] to end. The right is an example of collected files. They are used when converting data to OTRS10. 6 . (4) Convert data on OTRSConverter converts XML file of OTRS8 to standard otrs file of OTRS Copy export file and collected files of OTRS8 to OTRS10 PC. 2. Find [Broadleaf]-[OTRS]- [OTRSConverter] in Start menu and click it. [OTRS data migration tool] window appears. 3. Click [ ] of [Conversion source XML file] area. [Open] window appears. 4. Select export file created on OTS8 and click [Open]. File name appears at [Conversion source XML file] area. 5. Set [Conversion destination OTRS file] and [XML file for embedding] as above. 7 6. Click [Start] The window of the right appears after finishing conversion. 7. Click [OK] to end. Result of conversion is as the right. (5) Import data to Import otrs file created through conversion using OTRS Explorer. 1.Click [Import] in [ OTRS Explorer. ] menu of [Start OTRS10 Import Wizard] appears. 2. Click [Next]. 8 [OTRS10 Import Specify OTRS10 Data] appears. 3. Click [ ] of [Input file] area and specify a file to import. 4. Click [Next]. [OTRS10 Import Specify Import Folder] appears. 5. Select a folder and click [Next]. [OTRS10 Import Specify Import Options] appears. 6. Check items you want and enter [Output file]. If you check Output... 9 7. Click [Next]. [OTRS10 Import Start Importing] appears. 8. Click [Start]. The screen of the right appears after finishing import. 9. Click [Completed]. [Import] window closes and import ends.
