1 Student Quick Guide to Manchester Metropolitan University Online Graduation booking system 2017 This service is available to eligible Manchester Metropolitan students and enables you to register your availability to attend graduation ceremonies in This service will be available until 11 th July The system will take you through four simple steps taking up to five minutes. If you wish to order gown and/or photographs then you will be able to use the online services provided by Ede and Ravenscroft.

3 Accessing the Online Graduation booking system You can access the Manchester Met graduation booking system by: Clicking on the link on the graduation page This will take you to the Graduation Online booking home page. Click on the Book your Ceremony Tickets now link. All of the graduation booking pages have the same layout and important information and contacts are available on the left hand side of the homepage. You are advised to look through this information to help complete your booking. Please avoid booking your tickets via a mobile device or ipad, we have identified that use of these devices can lead to a problem with the payment process. 4 Login In order to access the graduation booking system you will need to login using your Manchester Met Network ID and password. Click in University ID number Type in Manchester Met Network ID Click in Password Type in Manchester Met password Click on Log In If this does not work your Manchester Met Network account may have expired. Please try using your date of birth in the format ddmmyy, instead of your normal password Error message If at any time you should encounter a page expired warning press F5 on the keyboard, this will refresh the page and enable you to click on retry and return to the page you were trying to view. 5 Step 1 of 4: My details Check your name is displayed correctly. This will be how it appears on your certificate and you will not be able to change it after you have graduated. If your name is incorrect please indicate this. Enter the correct name and the reason for the change in the spaces provided. Please note you will be required to provide the appropriate documentation on request. Before making any changes, please click on Certificates and read this information. Check the following: Current contact details Current Correspondence address details (It is important this is correct for Certificate Posting) Amend any incorrect details in the space provided. Changes will not be made until you have completed the registration process so don t worry if you still see the incorrect name on later screens. Consent to Share Personal Data Potential employers, employment agencies and educational organisations regularly ask the University to verify our graduates qualifications. If you provide your permission now, each time we get a request we can send them a standard form with your name, date of birth, attendance dates, award title and any classification. 6 Step 2 of 4: Registration Ceremony Details The date and time of your ceremony is displayed. Please indicate if you wish to attend your ceremony. You can also choose to defer your place until next year. Booking and Guest Tickets Use the drop-down menu to select how many guest tickets you require. Your first two guest tickets are FREE OF CHARGE, if required. Only two guest tickets per person can be guaranteed. Extra tickets may be available at a later date. If you require additional tickets please refer to from 31st May. Student Contact Details If you would like your ticket sending to a different address to the one shown on-screen, please enter it in the space provided Special Assistance at Your Ceremony Use the space provided to let us know about any special assistance you may require on the day of your ceremony. Certificate You now need to indicate if you would like your certificate posted to you or you would prefer to collect it from All Saints campus. If you indicated in Step 1 that you had already received your certificate this section will not appear. Click Proceed to continue. MMU Graduation booking system 12 V1 Page 6 of 11

7 Step 3 of 4: Confirmation Once your details have been submitted an attendance confirmation will be displayed. If you have told us that you are attending your ceremony the date and time of your ceremony will be displayed together with other important information. If you have told us that you are not attending, this screen will confirm your choice. If you want to change your mind about attending your ceremony you can do this now by clicking back at the bottom of the screen. Gown Hire and Photography You can use the link provided to book gown hire and/or photographs, this will open a separate window. This link is also available on Ticket Confirmation The number of Guest Tickets will be confirmed here. Any credits carried over from last year will also be included if applicable. 8 Step 4 of 4: Paying for Your Tickets Following 1st June any additional guest tickets will be released for purchase (subject to availability). Please visit the Graduation Homepage for updates. If you have requested guest tickets you now need to pay for them by clicking the Access Pay Online Here icon. MMU Graduation booking system 12 V1 Page 8 of 11

9 After clicking Pay Online Here, a new window will open. Click Continue and enter your card details as requested. If the payment process fails and you want to try again see Logging back in on the next page Make sure that pop-ups are not being blocked by your browser Once your payment is complete click back on the original booking system window. This should now show confirmation of your payment. If it is still showing payment in progress then please studentservices@mmu.ac.uk, putting Payment Problem in the subject line of your message. Remember to click on logout at the bottom of the screen to log you out of Manchester Met Graduation Online booking. On completion of booking it is recommended that you ensure all browser windows are closed. Confirmation s You will receive a brief confirmation shortly after making a successful payment. You should receive a more detailed , which includes your ceremony details, within 1 working day. This will be sent to both your MMU student and personal addresses. 10 Logging Back In Two Tickets Already Booked If you have already booked your 2 FREE OF CHARGE guest tickets then, until 31 st May, you will see a message telling you to come back later. From 1 st June onwards you will see a screen that allows you to purchase extra tickets (subject to availability). MMU Graduation booking system 12 V1 Page 10 of 11

11 No Tickets Booked If you have not yet booked your 2 FREE OF CHARGE guest tickets then you will see a screen that shows your ceremony details and gives you the opportunity to change the number of tickets you have requested. Select the number of guest tickets you want from the drop down menu and click Proceed If you have already booked 1 ticket you will only be allowed to book 1 further ticket at this stage. You will then see a confirmation screen, please check that these details are correct. If you no longer require 1 or 2 of your guaranteed guest tickets it is important that you contact the Graduation Helpline team via studentservices@mmu.ac.uk and cancel them.
