1 Data Sheet IQ Web Eabled otroller IQ Web Eabled otroller BAet is a trademark of ASHRAE. Descriptio The IQ cotrollers are Buildig Maagemet System cotrollers that use Etheret ad TP/IP etworkig techologies; they are optioally able to use BAet protocol over IP. Each cotroller icorporates a web server which ca deliver user-specific web pages to a P or mobile device ruig iteret browser software. Usig Wide Area Networkig techologies, such as the Iteret, with the appropriate levels of device ad etwork security i place, a user could moitor or adjust the cotroller from aywhere i the world. Please refer to the security sectio of the IQ ofiguratio maual for advice o security best practice. It is also compatible with the traditioal IQ system protocol. The IQ rage cosists of DIN rail moutig cotrollers with from zero to 6 iput/output poits (expadable up to 8 poits by addig DIN rail moutig I/O modules). This flexibility makes them suitable for a broad rage of applicatios. A local P or display (SDU-xcite) ca be coected to the RS port. It eables Ps to coect directly to Etheret ad commuicate with the IQ usig IP addressig. It also eables Iter otroller ommuicatios (I omms - peer to peer Etheret commuicatios) betwee cotrollers. Remote Ps ca commuicate through stadard IT etworks usig IP, eablig commuicatio from aywhere i the world.the IP coectio will support a web browser (thi cliet) ruig i a P, but commuicatio with a IQ System supervisor or tool (thick cliet e.g. 96, IQView8) will require the use of the virtual N embedded i the IQ cotroller. The strategy ad all other cofiguratio files may be dowloaded to the IQ from SET (System Egieerig Tool) across Etheret. I/O bus: The cotroller has the optio of a highly reliable I/O bus. This eables expasio I/O modules to be coected to add up to additioal I/O poits (8 poits i total with the 6 poits i the IQ). 3 Data Sheet IQ Stadard ommuicatios (cotiued) RS port: A sesor/display (RD-IQ), lie display pael (SDU xcite), etwork display (IQView8 or IQView), a wireless sesor receiver (XW/R/IQ) or a local P ruig a supervisor or a software tool may be coected to the RS port. Oly oe device may be coected. If multiple IQs with differet La umbers are coected to Etheret the their INs will form a iteretwork (alog with ay IQN or XTEND o the etwork). Note that Tred Etheret devices (e.g. IQ, IQ, IQN, XTEND) o the same Etheret segmet must all be o the same subet. This port ca commuicate directly with the IQ (address 0) or to the IQ system etwork usig the local supervisor N (see below). The RD-IQ or SDU-xcite commuicates oly with the local IQ, so for the RS port to operate with RD-IQ or SDU-xcite, its address module local supervisor port address must be set to zero. Supervisor/ Tool Web Browser Local Supervisor/Tool Stad Aloe Mode: Stad aloe mode ca be eabled i the Etheret IP etwork module. Eablig stad aloe mode will stop the IQ from attemptig to build etworks with other IQs or EINs, but it will still commuicate as a sigle IQ (with supervisor, web browser, ad local supervisor). A cotroller is set to stad aloe mode to reduce Etheret etwork traffic (i.e. to disable pollig messages tryig to fid other Tred devices). A IQ prior to firmware versio. could be set to Stad Aloe by the IP Tool. If a cotroller s firmware prior to v. is upgraded it will be take out of stad aloe mode. It is recommeded that o IQ cotroller prior to versio. should be operated i stad aloe mode. Networks: The IQ will create its ow iteral La which icludes a ode for its ow cotroller, a N for its local supervisor port (sn - if supervisor port address is set ozero), a virtual N (vn), ad a virtual IN (vin - address 6). Supervisor/ Tool alarms by cotrol iteral La Web Browser Local Supervisor/ Tool If multiple IQs with the same La umber are coected to Etheret, the a Etheret La will form to iclude these IQs ad their iteral odes. They must be o the same Etheret segmet, i the same subet, ad use same UDP port. The IQ with the lowest IP address o the La also assumes the IN fuctioality (the other vins disappear) ad is resposible for maitaiig the La across the IQs. Supervisor/Tool Web Browser cotrol cotrol multiple Las I omms: The IQs may commuicate with each other IQ, IQeco ad earlier IQ (ad IQL) cotrollers usig Iter otroller ommuicatios (peer to peer commuicatios). This will use IQ System La/ode addressig (ot direct IP addressig). Alarm Delivery: Alarms ca be delivered to the local supervisor port or to a supervisor makig a permaet coectio to the virtual N by ormal IQ system comms. Alarms ca be delivered to supervisors makig temporary coectios to the virtual N usig TP/IP by settig the supervisor s IP address ad port umber i the alarm destiatio module (i.e. IP alarms). Alarms may also be set by . Note that etwork alarms are set to ay coected port (e.g. supervisor coected to local supervisor port, or supervisor coected to virtual N). Optioal ommuicatios IQ System urret Loop La Auxiliary Board The optioal IQ system curret loop La auxiliary board eables the IQ to become a device o a IQ system curret loop La. It ca o loger be part of a Etheret La (or iteretwork). However, it will still support access usig a web browser or a supervisor or tool by way of a virtual N, ad it ca still sed IP or alarms across Etheret. This ca the be exteded oto a iteretwork i the ormal way usig a IN type ode (e.g. IN, XTEND, IQN). Supervisor/Tool cotrol Web Browser Local Supervisor/Tool Iteretwork BAet Alarms: IQ/BA is able to sed alarms usig BAet protocol by way of the BAet Device type of Alarm Destiatio Module. This will oly accept Sesor, Digital Iput, Driver (digital readback), ad Plot (buffer ready) alarms (other alarms will be igored). BAet I omms: IQ/BA cotrollers support BAet I comms. This eables it to sed I omms to a BAet device usig BAet protocol. The Protocol parameter i the I omms module ca be set to either Tred, or BAet. BAet I omms supports Data From, Data To, ad Global To Directio lasses, but ot Miimum, Maximum, Sum, or Average. The Data From, Data To, ad Global To BAet I omms supports Aalogue ad Digital Bit Variable Types, but ot Digital Byte. I order to sed a BAet I omms a No-Tred Device module (NTD) must be set up for the BAet device beig commuicated with. If a XTEND is used istead of a IN, the the iteretwork (or a segmet of it) ca exist o Etheret. This would eable Etheret Las of IQs to be part of the same system etwork as a IQ/LAN. Serial Auxiliary Board The serial auxiliary board provides a additioal RS or RS8/ serial port for commuicatig with other devices. This board is used i some versios of the IQ../.../XN/.. (referred to as IQ/XN/SER, see IQ../.../XN/... Data Sheet for more details). BAet Protocol Optio IQ/BA versios of IQ support BAet protocol; BAet is a ope protocol that eables the products of a umber of differet maufacturers of buildig automatio ad cotrol equipmet to commuicate with each other. Each BAet device has a umber of objects (roughly correspodig to Tred modules) ad each module has a umber of properties (roughly correspodig to Tred module parameters). The mappig of the BAet properties to the Tred parameters is covered i the IQ ofiguratio Referece Maual (TE00768). BAet commuicatios ca oly occur if the BAet Network module (Network module, type ) is eabled ad set up as this defies the cotroller s commuicatio parameters o the BAet etwork. The etwork module s default settigs ormally allow BAet commuicatios to operate correctly, but uder certai circumstaces they may eed to be chaged - see IQ ofiguratio Referece Maual (TE00768). SET is able to browse the BAet system, ad this ca be used to cofirm that the IQ s BAet commuicatios are operatig. A specificatio of the objects, properties, ad BIBBS (BAet Iteroperability Buildig Blocks) supported by the IQ are give i the IQ Product Implemetatio oformace Statemet (TP000). This describes the IQ fuctioality which is submitted to the BAet Testig Laboratory for coformace testig. The NTD module is allocated a La umber (for the La of BAet NTDs), a ode address o that La, ad address attributes so that the cotroller selectio process operates similarly for both Tred ad BAet protocol I omms. BAet I omms Global To I omms are restricted to a specific La, so the Remote La caot be set to 8 (sigifyig a global message to every La, i.e. a global global). BAet item selectio is similar to that for the Tred protocol, except that BAet variables must be specified absolutely (i.e. item selectio by item label matchig may ot be used). BAet with Automatic IP Addressig: ertai issues exist whe usig automatic IP addressig ad BAet protocol. These are described i the IQ ofiguratio Referece Maual (TE00768). System ofiguratios Routers: IQs are able to costruct a iteretwork (but NOT a La) across a router. However, it is possible for Ps to coect to IQs across routers, ad to treat IQs separated by routers as separate sites. Usig a Supervisor with Multiple Sites: I the diagram below there are two IQs either side of a router. IQA IQB IQ IQD Router If the IQs are ot cofigured to cross the router as described below, they will costruct two separate etworks, oe each side of the router. Oly oe iteretwork is allowed o a site, but the Supervisor ca treat the etworks as separate sites ad so each site may have a iteretwork. The supervisor will chage the IP address of the IQ virtual N it is usig as it switches sites. Note that there caot be ay I comms betwee the sites. Alarms ca be set to the supervisor directly usig TP/IP. The IQ cotroller is BTL listed as a BAet Applicatio Specific otroller (B-AS) because it complies with all the BIBBS required, but it supports more tha this, ad o a practical system ca be treated as a BAet Advaced Applicatio otroller (B-AA). 5 Data Sheet IQ System ofiguratios (cotiued) ofigurig IQs to ross Routers: This is doe by settig up the IQ s etwork module with the Router (default router) IP address (for a router o its ow subet) ad with a Remote Device s IP address, ad subet mask (for a IQ o the other side of the router). IQ with IQN ad XTEND: Both IQN ad XTEND support a Tred curret loop La which may cotai IQ IQ IQ or IQ series cotrollers. The XTEND also has a LONWORKS bus coectio eablig the extesio of the iteretwork over the LONWORKS etwork, ad commuicatio with IQLs. The diagram below shows the additio of a XTEND to Etheret. IQA Default Router IP address Remote IQ IP address Remote IQ Subet mask IQB IQ IQD Default Router Router Etheret Supervisor/ Tool Web Browser If several IQs are coected oe side of a router, the uit with the lowest IP address (cross-router master) will attempt to costruct the etwork across the router. I the above diagram, IQA is the cross-router master ad is cofigured with the default router IP address ad a remote IQ s (e.g. IQ s) IP address ad subet mask. It will ow sed a message to IQ s subet through the default router. IQ will the reply ad the IQA will costruct the iteretwork betwee the two IQs. Because IP addresses may ot be fixed (see Automatic IP Addressig Mode - below) it may ot be possible to specify which cotrollers have the lowest IP addresses, so the details should be set up i every device o the subet, so that ay device may be able to become the cross-router master. If Automatic IP Addressig mode is beig used, the remote devices will be idetified by host ames rather tha IP addresses. It is recommeded that the details of two devices (either IQView8s, IQNs XTENDs, IQs or IQs) i the etwork from each subet the other side of a router should be set up i every device i the etwork o the local subet. For icreased reliability, details of additioal devices should also be set up. Note that up to 0 device s details may be etered i the etwork module. Iteret Access: Because the Iteret uses TP/IP addressig, the 96/IQ commuicatio ca operate over the Iteret. ompay Iteret access is ormally protected by a firewall which is usually the resposibility of the compay s IT departmet. The firewall will eed to be set up to allow messages through the port addresses beig used for sedig ad receivig IQ System messages. Additioally the firewall may be set up either to pass messages through or to redirect them. If redirectio is beig used, the the messages are set to the firewall IP address ad the firewall must be set up with the relevat IQ System IP address (e.g. IQ vn, XTEND vn, or IQ s ow IP address for web pages) so it ca pass them o. If usig a impermaet ISP coectio (e.g. usig a dial up modem) at either 96 or IQ ed, the ISP (Iteret Service Provider) must support reverse dial up. Note that IQ to IQ etworkig commuicatios will ot operate across a firewall (i.e. virtual etworks caot be built across firewalls). Local Supervisor/Tool urret Loop La Supervisor/ Tool Note that the LONWORKS etwork is ot to be used where a high level of etwork traffic is expected e.g joiig iteretworks or where there are may IQ system devices o may IQ system Las beig accessed across a iteretwork routed through the LONWORKS etwork. A alterative topology should be used such as a Etheret etwork. Note that the IQ ad the IQN or XTEND caot have the same La umber sice the IQN or XTEND s La umber is reserved for its curret loop La. IQ ad TMN: The IQ ca use a TMN coected to a IQN s curret loop etwork. The IQN should operate i iteretwork extesio mode (i.e. device address =>00) which provides a curret loop iteretwork with a extesio o Etheret. However, this will oly give ormal IQ System ommuicatios (i.e. text commuicatios), it caot provide web pages. 6 IQ Data Sheet System ofiguratios (cotiued) Automatic IP Addressig Mode: The IQ is able to operate i a system where the IP addresses are automatically allocated by a DHP (Dyamic Host ofiguratio Protocol) server (i.e. the IP addresses are ot fixed). The IP Addressig Mode parameter (i etwork module) is set to Eter Maually for traditioal maual etry with a fixed IP address, ad is set to Obtai Automatically (default settig) for the IP address to be set automatically by the DHP server. DHP Operatio: If set to Obtai Automatically, whe the cotroller powers up it will iform the DHP server which ca the provide it with: IP Address Subet Mask Router (default router) WINS Servers ( to ) DNS Servers ( to ) (These parameters caot ow be chaged by SET uless IP Addressig mode parameter is set to Eter Maually.) Lik/Local Operatio: If the cotroller is i automatic IP addressig mode ad the DHP server fails to respod, the IQ will eter lik/local mode where it will egotiate its IP address with the other devices o its Etheret segmet. A P (ruig supervisor or tool software) should be set up for auto-addressig. O DHP failure it may take a very log time to eter lik/local ad be able to commuicate with the IQs. This ca be avoided by power cyclig the P which will cause it to eter lik/local o power up. To commuicate with a IQ it must be o the same segmet. IP Addressig Mode IP addressig set up by Obtai Automatically DHP IP address may vary Lik/local Eter Maually Maual IP address fixed Summary of IP Addressig Modes Note that it is recommeded that lik/local oly be used as the default method of operatio o a sigle segmet system, (ot across a router). Host ame: Because the IP address is o loger fixed i automatic IP addressig mode, the IQ uses a Host ame, which is fixed. Whe the IQ powers up it seds its host ame to a WINS (Widows Iteret Namig Service) server. If a device wishes to commuicate with the IQ it will sed the IQ s host ame to the WINS server which will retur the associated IP address. If a WINS server does ot exist, the host ame ca be used over the local segmet oly (i.e. ot across routers). The host ame ca also be used to commuicate with the IQ if the IP Addressig Mode parameter (i etwork module) is set to Eter Maually. This provides a user-friedly way of idetifyig the cotroller rather tha rememberig its IP address. Default Host Name: If the host ame has ot bee set up, the IQ will power up with a default host ame which is a fuctio of its MA address ( Tred plus the last six digits of the MA address e.g. TREND_00 D0). The default host ame will always be operatioal (as well as its Host ame if it has bee set up), uless the Default Host ame parameter i the etwork module has bee set to Disabled. ommuicatio across the Iteret: If a device (e.g. supervisor) wishes to commuicate across the Iteret with a IQ o a system with automatic IP addressig, the the firewall server either has to be able to use the host ame, or the IQ s IP address must be fixed. Fixig the otroller s Address o a DHP cotrolled System: It is possible for the IQ to operate i a DHP regime with a fixed IP address by settig up the DHP server so that it always gives that particular IQ the same IP address. A alterative is to set the IQ IP Addressig Mode parameter to Eter Maually, ad set its IP address outside the rage of the DHP server. Server Address: Because the Server Address is o loger fixed o a DHP system, it must be set up (i the etwork module) to a host ame or a Iteret domai ame. Thus whe a alarm is to be set the Server IP Address is resolved by either a WINS server or a DNS (Domai Name System) server. rossig Routers if DHP is operatig: I the DHP regime, if the iteretwork is to cross a router(s), the Remote Devices ( to 0) IP addresses should be set up as host ames. This will eable the IP addresses to be obtaied from the WINS servers. Note that if ay commuicatio usig a host ame crosses a router(s), the a WINS server address must be set up. Servers: If the IQ s IP address settigs are to be supplied by a DHP server, the server must be istalled o the same segmet as the IQ. O a multi-segmet system a sigle DHP server may be use providig it has a coectio to each segmet, i.e. multiple coectios. The server must be capable of dowloadig either or both (as appropriate, see below) the WINS server address, ad the DNS server address. If host ames are beig used for IP addressig across a router, the a WINS server must be istalled somewhere o the system. If alarms are beig set, ad the server address is idetified by Iteret domai ame, the a DNS server must be istalled somewhere o the system. HARDWARE IQ Box: The cotroller box is DIN rail moutig ad must be fitted iside a cabiet. The iput chael liks are accessible by meas of a clear polycarboate cover which ca be uclipped usig a screwdriver. The I/O bus coector has a higed plastic cover. The auxiliary board cover ca be levered off by isertig a screwdriver betwee the back of the cover ad the mai uit. It has a rear DIN rail clip. The digital iput LEDs, the output LEDs, ad the three cotroller status LEDs ca be viewed through the clear polycarboate. I/O Bus: This feature is oly available o the expadable IQs (IQXITE/96, /8). The IQxcite is coected to a adjacet I/O module by a rigid coector. It ca be coected to a remote I/O module by a flexible cable. The coectio is made by opeig the flap, pluggig i the coector, ad the closig the flap over the cable. The last module o the I/O bus must be correctly termiated (see I/O Modules sectio). 7 Data Sheet IQ IQ (cotiued) oectors: Other tha the scree termials, which are sigle part, two part coectors are used throughout to facilitate istallatio. The screw termials are of a risig cage clamp type to facilitate good coectios. Each iput chael has a termial for cable scree coectio. The iteral cable scree earthig (groudig) termial bus is coected to the cotroller earth (groud) by a soldered lik o the board. If required to segregate the scree earth (groud) from the cotroller iput power supply earth (groud), it may be coected to a separate exteral earth (groud) by liftig the cover ad cuttig the scree earth (groud) track ad makig a coectio betwee the iteral scree bus termial ad a exteral earth (groud). Fusig: The Vdc combied supply to the IQ s ow I/O chaels, the I/O bus, the RS coector (e.g. to power SDU xcite), ad the auxiliary supply output is protected by a self resettig electroic circuit breaker. The part of the Vdc combied supply which supplies the RS, ad the V auxiliary supply output is limited to 0 ma. The 0V retur of this supply (i A termials set) of this supply is limited at 00 ma by a self resettig fuse, so that if this 0V termial is mistakely used for high currets, the fuse will blow ad protect the 0V lie; whe the fault is removed the IQ will retur to ormal operatio. The aalogue output P bus is protected by a.6 A self resettig multifuse. Separate earth (groud) coectio Scree earth (groud) track cut Service butto Iteral scree bus The power supply is protected agaist catastrophic failure by a o-replaceable fuse. The aalogue output circuitry is protected agaist the wrog coectio of a o-isolated exteral supply by a o-replaceable fuse. If either o-replaceable fuse blows, the cotroller should be set back for repair. The I/O modules have protectio as described i the I/O module sectio. Service Butto: The IQ ca be restored to defaults by holdig dow the service butto for greater tha s (but less tha s) as the IQ is powered up. For earlier hardware versios without the service butto it ca be restored to defaults by usig the Reset Applet (part of SET). Note that this will clear the strategy; the data cleared dow is defied i the Firmware/Strategy sectio below. Power Supply: The IQ ca be supplied i two iput power supply versios. /00-0 :00 to ac at 0 or 60 Hz. Power requiremet is 6 VA maximum. The 0V supply must iclude a dedicated A fuse complyig with BS6 ad a suitably rated switch i close proximity ad be clearly marked as the discoectig device for the uit. A A circuit breaker with high breakig capacity may be used as a alterative. / : Vac at 0 or 60 Hz, to 6dc (6 Vdc maximum for /UL versios). Power requiremet is A maximum. The V supply must iclude a suitably rated switch i close proximity ad be clearly marked as the discoectig device for the uit. Battery Backup: The strategy cofiguratio ad data (logs, alarms) are stored i the uit i ovolatile memory (Flash). A supercap is used to maitai the real time clock (time ad date). I the evet of power failure this will support the clock for 6 days (typically). Note that the supercap eeds about miutes to reach full charge after power is applied. Optioally a battery board (XITE/BB) ca be fitted ito the uit; this will support the clock for several years i the evet of power failure (e.g. for Timemaster, see Firmware/Timemaster). If the battery has t bee discharged, it should be replaced routiely every years. The battery (type R0) ca be replaced after turig the power off ad removig the auxiliary board cover (while the battery is ot i circuit the supercap will maitai the real time clock). IQ system urret Loop La Optioal Auxiliary Board: The IQ/LAN (IQ../.../LAN) is supplied complete with a La auxiliary board fitted i the auxiliary board slot, ad with a special auxiliary board cover which eables access to the auxiliary board switches ad coectors. It has clear polycarboate covers over both the upper ad lower termial sets to eable access to the chael liks ad the address switch. The strips ca be uclipped usig a screwdriver ad clipped back i positio after use. The I/O termials are protected by clear polycarboate flip up safety covers. It has a rear DIN rail clip. The digital iput LEDs, output LEDs, ad the three cotroller status LEDs ca be viewed through the clear polycarboate. Scree Earthig (Groudig): O I/O modules with uiversal iputs, the screes for uiversal iput chaels are ormally coected to the module groud, but they may be separately earthed-grouded (if required to segregate the scree earth groud from the I/O module groud). earth (groud) lik cut Separate earth (groud) oectio iteral scree bus This is similar to the cotroller scree earthig (groudig), see IQ coectors sectio. I/O Module Address Switch: The address switch cosists of a hexadecimal switch, 0 to 9, A, B,, D, E, F. Selectig address zero disables the module. If there is a address clash o the I/O bus, the I/O bus fault LEDs o all the modules with the same address will flash; a module s address ca be corrected by settig its address switch to other addresses util its LED stops flashig. Whe settig up the iput ad output chaels i sesor, digital iput, ad driver software strategy modules, the I/O module address ad the chael umber have to be etered; the mai cotroller is referred to as module zero. I/O Module haels: The uiversal iputs have similar coectios to those i the mai IQxcite. Aalogue Outputs: The aalogue outputs have a similar arragemet to the mai cotroller with the Vdc auxiliary output supply ad the P bus. The /AO auxiliary output ca supply a maximum of 00 ma; the /8AO ca supply a maximum of 00 ma (shared betwee both auxiliary output termials). Relay Outputs: The relay outputs are sigle pole chageover, ad have a relay output status LED (yellow) which is ON whe the relay is eergised. NO N N N Relay Outputs with Had/Off/Auto: The relay outputs with Had/Off/Auto (HOA) facility are based o the stadard relay outputs but also have a positio HOA switch per chael. Note that the digital iput will be ON whe the logic iput is low. 0V XML Web Services XML Web Services is a field-upgradeable optio. It ca be added to ay IQ variat by purchasig the XML Web Services Upgrade (IQXAT/XML/UP for IQxact, ad IQXITE/XML/UP for IQxcite). This will etitle the purchaser to obtai a ulock code for Tred Techical Support. I order to operate, the XML Web Services should be eabled i the Etheret IP etwork module. XML is a geeral purpose specificatio for creatig custom markup laguages. Network alarms are set to supervisors or tools coected to the local supervisor port or to the cotroller s vn. Geeral ad Item alarms ca be set either to a desigated Tred La address, to a IP address, or to a address. Alteratively for certai item alarms (sesor, digital iput, driver readback, ad plot), they ca be set to a BAet device (IQ/ BA oly). Alarms set to a Tred La address or to a IP address ca either be set i text, coded, or attribute format. All alarms are stored locally i the Alarm Log. For coded alarms the protocol limits the item umber to. For text alarms the maximum item label legth is 0 characters (although the 96 ca be setup to use labels previously leart). Timemaster: The IQ ca act as a Timemaster for the Tred system (IQs - post 989, IQs, IQs, IQs, IQecos, ad IQLs). It will maitai time ad date sychroisatio for all IQ cotrollers ad effect daylight savigs from a sigle source. However, each sectio of a system separated by auto-dialled liks requires its ow Timemaster. The IQ does ot provide the Timekeeper fuctioality; this was oly required for IQ90 s which did ot have a battery backed real time clock, ad they should be supported by a pre-iq Timekeeper cotroller o their ow La. Note that o a combied system (IQs with other IQs) a IQ or IQ must be the Timemaster. The Timemaster IQ should be fitted with the battery optio board which will support it i the case of power failure. The time module has a UT Offset parameter which eables UT time (o-ordiated Uiversal Time, approximately the same as GMT) to be calculated from the local time. The UT offset ad daylight savigs details should be set up i the Timemaster so that all other IQs ca be sychroised accordigly. Laguage: The user ca specify which laguage the IQ uses for the display of web pages ad for trasmitted alarms. All the required text is separately stored as a text file i SET ad ca be traslated to form a laguage file. The required files ca be selected for each SET project. Eglish is always available i the cotroller, but SET eables a default laguage as well as additioal laguages to be selected. The appropriate laguage files will be dowloaded to the cotroller whe the strategy is dowloaded. I the cotroller the Address module has a laguage parameter which will be set by default to the default laguage, but ca be chaged to ay oe of the other available laguage files or Eglish (e.g. chage to Eglish by settig the laguage parameter to eglish o the address module web page). The IQ ca use laguages which require 8 bit code (i.e. special or acceted characters) ad ca also operate with right to left laguages (e.g. hiese, Arabic). Plots: The IQ plot modules ca plot ay coectable module output (aalogue or digital). There are three types of plot module: sychroised, triggered, ad periodic. Although all three types are BAet iteroperable, oly periodic plots ca be BAet compliat. All plot modules ca geerate a buffer ready alarm whe the umber of records equals the otificatio threshold. Web Pages Iformatio from a IQ cotroller ca easily be accessed usig a Web browser (e.g. Iteret Explorer) o a P, smart phoe, or PDA over ay TP/IP etwork (e.g. the compay itraets, or the Iteret). See the ompatibility o page 7 for details of compatible web browsers ad devices. All that is required is the IP address or host ame of the cotroller, ad a valid user ame ad password (if users are set up i the cotroller). Oce coectio to the cotroller has bee made, it is possible to view ad adjust occupatio times, view the alarm history, ad view/adjust/graph idividual module parameters.
