3 Before You Begin Make sure you have the latest version of HealthLink SIX messaging system (HMS version 6.6.x) installed in your system. Configuration of CSC Practix for Healthlink downloads This will configure CSC Practix to automatically download your results into your patient database. Setting up Radiology and Pathology Reports 1- Login to CSC Practix and select Administration System Configuration Contacts 2- Click on Contact and then click on Enter. 3- In the Find contact screen either look up the Radiology or Pathology name or click on New button. 4- If you are adding a new contact change the contact type to company and enter Company Name, Address, Phone, Fax, and and set Speciality as appropriate. Once all details are entered click on Ok button. 5- This will take you back to Find Contact Screen. Enter company name and click on search button. 6- Double click ion correct company name to open Contact screen. 7- For a Pathology sender from the Contact Screen click on Pathology Request tab and click on Allow Pathology Requests check box. 3
4 8- For a Radiology sender from the Contact Screen click on Radiology Request tab and click on Allow Radiology Requests check box. 9- Click on Message In button to setup import file paths. 10- From Receive Messages Form click on New Button. 11- Add the Pathology/Radiology name in the Description field. 4
5 12- To find the information required in the Sending Application and Sending Facility fields, you ll need to either contact Pathology/Radiology sender or check the C:\HLINK\HL7_IN\LAB2 folder for received messages. If there are reports waiting, open one using note pad and copy the contents of MSH-3 and MSH-4 in to Sending Application and Sending Facility fields respectively. Example: MSH ^~\& Sending Application Sending Facility 13- Change the Transport Type to File 14- In the Folder Name either type or browse to C:\HLINK\HL7_IN\Lab2 15- Enter *.* in the filename mask field 16- Change Acknowledgements type to Original Mode 17- In the Ack Folder Name either type or browse to C:\HLINK\HL7_OUT\Lab2 18- Select Unique Filename from Ack Filename Scheme drop down box. 19- Click on Add button at the bottom of screen and select ORU^R01-Result and click on Ok. 20- Click on Save and Close button on Receive Messages From screen and click on Ok on contact screen to go to Find contact screen. Setting up Referral or Discharge Summaries 1- In the Find contact screen either look up the Referral or Discharge Summary name or click on New button. 5
6 2- If you are adding a new contact change the contact type to company and enter Company Name, Address, Phone, Fax, and and set Speciality as appropriate. Once all details are entered click on Ok button. 3- This will take you back to Find Contact Screen. Enter company name and click on search button. 4- Double click on correct company name to open Contact screen. 5- For a Referral/discharge summary sender from the Contact Screen click on Other Requests tab and click on Allow Other Requests check box. 6- Click on Message In button to setup import file paths. 7- From Receive Messages Form click on New Button. 8- Add the Referral or Discharge Summary senders name in the Description field. 9- To find the information required in the Sending Application and Sending Facility fields, you ll need to either contact Referrer or Hospital or check the C:\HLINK\HL7_IN\RSDAU folder for received messages. If there are reports waiting, open one using note pad and copy the contents of MSH-3 and MSH-4 in to Sending Application and Sending Facility fields respectively. Example: MSH ^~\& Sending Application Sending Facility 10- Change the Transport Type to File 11- In the Folder Name either type or browse to C:\HLINK\HL7_IN\RSDAU 12- Enter *.* in the filename mask field 13- Change Acknowledgements type to Original Mode 14- In the Ack Folder Name wither type of browse to C:\HLINK\HL7_OUT\RSDAU 15- Select Unique Filename from Ack Filename Scheme drop down box. 16- Click on Add button at the bottom of screen and select REF^I12-Patient Referral/Generic Report and click on Ok. 17- Click on Save and Close button on Receive Messages From screen and click on Ok on contact screen to go to Find contact screen. 6
7 Setting up PIT and Broadcst message setup 1- In the Find contact screen either look up the Referral or Discharge Summary senders name or click on New button. 2- If you are adding a new contact change the contact type to company and enter Company Name, Address, Phone, Fax, and and set Speciality as appropriate. Once all details are entered click on Ok button. 3- This will take you back to Find Contact Screen. Enter company name and click on search button. 4- Double click ion correct company name to open Contact screen. 5- Click on Message In button to setup import file paths. 6- From Receive Messages Form click on New Button. 7- Add the PIT or Broadcst senders name in the Description field. 8- To find the information required in the Sending Application (or PIT Source) you ll need to either contact Pathology/Radiology sender or check the C:\HLINK\PIT_IN or C:\HLINK\FF_in\BROADCST folder for received messages. If there are reports waiting, open one using note pad and copy the contents of PIT line 001 and paste it into Sending Application (or PIT Source) field. 9- Change the Transport Type to File 10- In the Folder Name either type or browse to C:\HLINK\PIT_IN or C:\HLINK\FF_in\BROADCST 11- Enter *.* in the filename mask field 12- Leave the Acknowledgment Type to (None) 13- Click on Add button at the bottom of screen and select PIT PIT Result 7
8 14- Click on Save and Close button on Receive Messages From screen and click on Ok on contact screen to go to Find contact screen. Making Healthlink Connection Manually 1. From system tray right click on Healthlink Icon 2. Left click on Run Now to make the manual connection. 3. Spinning H indicates Healthlink connection has started its connection. 4. Once H stops spinning, the Healthlink connection has been, completed and the test messages are downloaded into their respective incoming folders. 5. The messages are waiting to be imported in to PractiX Importing Messages into PractiX PractiX imports the messages automatically using mspservices. This service runs by default on PractiX server. If this service is not running it can be started from C:\msp on PractiX server. 8
