Specifically designed to provide the best performance in terms of sectioning reproducibility, precision, ergonomics and safety for the operator. The fully automatic microtome Galileo is a new generation microtome able to section, in the order of 0. micron, with both maximum precision and perfect sectioning accuracy, without neglecting ergonomics and safety for the operator, mandatory for a highly manual and repetitive phase as microtome sectioning. The fully automatic microtome Galileo offers the possibility to be used both for fully automatic or semi-automatic sectioning, ensuring maximum flexibility.

Functions: Fully automatic rotary microtome with bivalent working: it can be used both for automatic sectioning and manual sectioning; Automatic retraction with possibility to set the desired thickness; Exclusive speed control pedal to set and control cutting speed; Bladeholder with cutting protection and blade removal system without contacts for the operator; Precise lateral knife holder adjustment, with three predefined stop positions; Integrated LCD display and easy-to-use, intuitive control panel; Practical backlit panel useful to check the quality of the cut sections; Automatic coarse feed wheel allows the user to manually advance the block to the knife edge; Electronic quick-lock of specimen holder in every position, to avoid possible moving that could be a risk for the operator; Cassette clamp with universal quick connection, equipped with release lever Emergency stop. 3 USING FEATURES Precision in the order of ½ micron In a delicate phase as microtome sectioning, every detail, although seemingly insignificant, may affect the final result. Due that, during Galileo microtomes design, has been paid particular attention to the choice of each component and to the evaluation of the best technical solutions to be adopted. This allows to have precise sections in the order of half a micron, ensuring result reproducibility. Safety and ease of use - Specimen holder with integrated automatic quick-lock Mechanism to avoid possible movement that could be a risk for the operator; - Thanks to its unique mechanical and motorization system, the microtome Galileo allows to instantly switch from manual to automatic mode; - The microtome Galileo is the only microtome with a software interface with color LCD display, for a clear display and setting of the operating parameters. Dynamic foot switch The revolutionary dynamic foot switch (patent pending) allows to section in fully automatic mode without the use of hands. As the car accelerator, microtome Galileo foot switch adjusts dynamically the grossing and sectioning speed in a simple, accurate and reliable way. For both modes, it is possible to set the maximum speed of use, on the basis of which the foot switch fully automatically sets its response sensitivity. A true revolution in the world of microtomy, which allow the operator to use both hands to collect the most delicate sections. Backlit panel The unique backlit window allows to evaluate the collected sections in backlight and to verify the correct correspondence between the specimen in paraffin and sections collected on the slide.
