2 History of UNISIG WP IOP This WP was founded in 2007 based on the experience collected during the interoperability tests between Thales-RBC and the OBU s from Alstom and Siemens for the Lötschberg-Tunnel project done in Berlin. Finding: besides ensuring the conformity of ETCS constituents to the specifications, additional tests are necessary to proof additional national operational rules this is called Interoperability Tests between trackside and onboard. Outcome: SUBSET-110: UNISIG Interoperability Test-Guidelines SUBSET-111-x : Interoperability Test Environment Definition (general, FFFIS for OBU, RBC, RIU) SUBSET-112: UNISIG Basics for Interoperability Test Scenario Specifications 2

3 UNISIG WP IOP - Actual status UNISIG decided to have different deliverables for baseline 2 (frozen version 1.1.0) and for baseline 3 (version 3.6.0). - A B2 OBU must be connected to the TCL using the version of SUBSET A B3 OBU must be connected by using the version A TCL must be able to handle both. Current version: (valid for B3R1 and B3R2) released by the UNISIG SC in July 2016 Application Guide related to TSI CCS: SUBSET-110 to 112 is proposed for publication 3

8 Thales TCL Architecture The Thales TCL is a collection of (Windows) applications to be started by a controller. The kind and number of these applications is determined by a test-script, the application details by configuration. E.g. DMI-Sim per train, track-layout with some IL-functionality (points signals) Each test / test sequence is a written script (Ruby) which will be interpreted by the controller. Grafical interfaces (e.g. the DMI-Sim) enable observation and also manual manipulation All actions of the script and the tester will be logged. 8

18 Benefit of the UNISIG Test Architecture Thales overall test result It is proven - that the UNISIG IOP test approach is applicable for Level 1 and Level 2 tests - the UNISIG test architecture is flexible All ETCS tests (independent from the Level) can be performed with the same strategy 18
