3 Danfoss is a global company with 26,000 employees worldwide. Producing 250,000 products a day in 93 factories located in 25 countries, it has 140 sales companies and over 450 dealers and distributors throughout the world. One of the Danfoss factories in Denmark utilizes approximately 40 DENSO robots. We prefer to use a single brand of robot in our production process and chose DENSO as it could offer the largest range of models. We wanted to use the combined approach to programming for all of our robots, and DENSO uses the same programming and unit for both SCARA and 6-axis robots. 10 INTELLIGENT INTERACTION DENSO robots have been designed to make programming them as convenient and user friendly as possible. We have developed a range of tools that decrease the learning curve and allow you to interact with our robots in a manner you find the most comfortable and familiar. For ease and simplicity, all DENSO robot controllers have a standard Ethernet connection that allows them to be attached to another device such as a PLC or industrial PC. Also known as SCARAs (selective compliance articulated robot arms), four-axis robots are the perfect option for a wide range of applications.
