2 Q: Are there any limitations to the volumes of records that Winshuttle can handle? And can these be run in the background to manage volumes? A: No, there are no limitations to the volumes of records that you can run with Winshuttle, the only limitation is the maximum volume imposed by Excel and this differs depending on which version of Excel you are using. Winshuttle templates can be run to move data to/from SAP safely and securely. Precautions are taken for mass data output from SAP by the use of Winshuttle Adaptive Query Throttling (AQT) technology. All data movement templates can be easily scheduled to run later. Q: Mass data upload activities are usually a one time job. How does Winshuttle help after the data upload is already in place in SAP? A: Winshuttle templates can be used to manage data already posted in SAP, such as ongoing maintenance and reporting of transactional data or monthly clean-up activities of master data. Winshuttle can also be used for ad-hoc operational reporting. Q: Can Winshuttle be used to maintain the Document Info Record which is the master data for documents in SAP? A: Yes. Document Info Records (t-codes such as CV01N Create, CV02N Change & CV03N - Display DIR) can be automated with Winshuttle. Q: Using Query, how exactly do you link queries in the script builder? A: Users can utilise QUERY to automatically join SAP tables by using the built in logic of their primary and secondary keys. Once a query has been built, these can be linked together to run in a daisy chain set by using the Advanced Run Options to Link Scripts. Q: Do you have any standard link transactions for creating a vendor master with multiple partner functions? A: Winshuttle does not provide standard scripts for use by default; however, there are sample scripts in a small library held within our tools. Each script should be built in your own SAP environment. Q: Does Winshuttle allow "if/then" statements with regards to field exceptions? A: Yes. Conditional values and rules can be built into the scripts. Q: Does Winshuttle support single sign-on access to SAP (SSO)? A: Yes. Single sign on can be used to access SAP via Winshuttle.

3 Q: What are the versions of MS Excel that Winshuttle is compatible with? A: Winshuttle is compatible with Microsoft Office versions 2003 to current. Q: Do we always have to specify a start and end row? What do we do if we don't have rows that are in sequence? A: No. The runner will have some options in the Add-in to allow for the user of the template to select their own start, end row or other rows to run. Rows can be selected based on highlighted rows or filters. Q: What is the connection mechanism? (SAP PI? RFC? ODBC?) A: Winshuttle uses a Remote Function Call (RFC) to connect to SAP. Q: What transactions does a user need to ensure that the query feature works? Do they need access to SE16 or would regular MM03 access work? A: Regular MM03 will allow the user to view data when running a query script. Users will only need display access to any t-code (data within that transaction) in order to be able to execute a report with Winshuttle. Q: While uploading master data, will all of the users need to be locked? A: No. Winshuttle does not require for transactions or user accounts to be locked when an upload is being made. Q: Can information be downloaded from tables? A: Yes. Standard or custom tables / fields can be used in Winshuttle reports. Q: Where does the run reason go, does it transfer to SAP? A: The run reason is held within the Winshuttle Usage logs, and can be reported on to show usage reasons and statistics. Q: Does Winshuttle also support SAP MDG modules? A: Not directly, however Winshuttle scripts can be used to create and maintain master data within SAP to support the project or BAU activities within ECC. Q: Is Winshuttle compatible with SAP APO? A: Yes. Some of the standard SAP APO transactions can be recorded with Winshuttle. Q: How well does the tool work with other add-ins in place within the organisation? Will the Winshuttle add-in slow down Excel? A: The Winshuttle add-in has been working alongside other MS Excel add-ins since its inception. There have not been reports of speed concerns within MS Excel when using Winshuttle s COM add-ins.

4 Q: Will the change history of the data be available with the user name or Winshuttle user? A: The change history held in SAP will always show the users own SAP account and credentials as that is who is logged into the system when processing a template with Winshuttle. Q: How does Winshuttle integrate with SharePoint, in terms of creating forms and validating what is being entered? A: Winshuttle s Enterprise is integrated with the MS SharePoint platform to allow for governance and a central location for storing and managing files and workflows. It is Winshuttle s own forms and workflow builder which are used in conjunction with Winshuttle scripts automated to execute data into SAP transactions. Validations can be achieved in a number of ways, starting with the core SAP configurations being used on forms.
