2 Student Instructions Introduction Now is the time to begin your adventure on the seas of life. Cast your nets to catch the dream that is your future. This unit involves you creating 3 documents based around a career path of interest. For the purpose of this unit your target audience, are other high school students who want something interesting to read during whanau time. This is an individual task. You have 4 weeks (20 hours) to complete this task. It needs to be submitted by Friday the 30 th March Due to the nature of the task, there will be no re assessment opportunity for this standard. Task: 1. Navigate to and use this as a springboard to find out information about a career that interests you. Use the information you find to construct a double sided A4 information leaflet about a career path that interests you. 2. Elements of the information leaflet could include: day in the life of, qualifications required, desirable attributes, skill descriptions, career pathway, pay scales and associated pictures. The source of all non original material needs to be recorded in a bibliography. 3. The second document you need to create is curriculum vitae (CV) for yourself. The careers.govt.nz site has a nice CV creator to get you started you may want to include a photo. 4. The third document is a newspaper advert for your chosen career. All 3 documents must meet the below specifications. 5. It is a requirement that you include a set of design sketches, one per publication (either digital or hand-drawn). 6. Once you are satisfied that you have met ALL the requirements, print off the documents and hand in by the due date above.

A newspaper advertisement/logo relevant to career of interest 4. Design sketches for all 3 documents 5. A bibliography showing links to any work that is not your own e.g. CV template; images; 6. At least one imported and resized image 7. At least one logo of your own design 8. At least one cropped image 9. Use of the drop cap feature in at least one document 10. An inserted symbol or special character for bulleted items 11. At least 3 different tabs set in your CV 12. An annotated document of screenshots showing dimensions of imported image before and after resizing; the logo design; the image before and after cropping; the drop cap; the symbol or special character used for bulleting; 3 different tabs set;
