The SportsEngine platform contains many helpful tools for managers. This guide will provide an overview of the communication capabilities it provides.

1 The SportsEngine platform contains many helpful tools for managers. This guide will provide an overview of the communication capabilities it provides. You must be the assigned team Manager to access the capabilities described in this section. All Spring 2017 team pages have been set-up on the league s homepage at top navigation under TEAMS menu pulldown. As the team manager, you can communicate, via the web or a mobile device, to your team and staff. It s important to note that any message you send will be delivered as both a text/sms message as well as an . All recipients, when registering with SportsEngine, can opt in/out of SMS and messages from SportsEngine. You can advise registrants that they can change their preferences anytime through their Account Settings as seen here: Sending Communications from the DPLL SportsEngine Website 1. To access the communication capabilities you would need to change the Edit Mode to ON 6. Once in Edit Mode, you ll notice two new buttons: Admin and Manage Team 7. In this example, I chose to send the message to a few of my team members by clicking Selected and then adding those players I wish to communicate with. 4 11. Click Select Members once you ve added the players you desire and you ll then have the option of the Editor you d like to use a. Plain Text simple text, no formatting (no color, bold, no images, etc.) b. Rich Text resembles Microsoft Word. You can use this to send formatted s with images, links to other websites, etc. c. Page Layout do not use this capability 12. I chose Rich Text in this example, as can be seen here: 13. Enter the subject and compose the message, formatting as you wish. Click on the magnifying glass to search for your team id, or just type in your team name (Tball Yankees Delaney Park ) and results will start to show up. Game schedules will be uploaded league-wide once available. They will be reflected on the calendar portion of your team page, as well as mirror to the league s home page in a scrolling scoreboard. 2. DIBS integration for managing concession stand volunteer coverage. Parents will be able to claim concession stand shifts; and will be sent reminders automatically from the system. 3.
