1 3400 East River Road NE, Rochester, MN Phone: (507) FAX: (507) Web Address: Profile Setup Guide for ShowingTime Due to a number of requests, SEMR has decided to put together a guide for setting up a profile for the very first time in ShowingTime. By following the steps below, you will prevent any issues that may arise with , text, and phone notifications, as a listing agent or a showing agent. It is highly recommended that every agent who has not used ShowingTime before, should always set up their profile before doing anything else within ShowingTime. Step 1 - Accessing ShowingTime. Before you can make any changes to your profile in ShowingTime, you are going to want to know the best way to access it. ShowingTime can be accessed conveniently in the Daily Functions tab in Flex.
2 Step 2 - Edit Your Profile Upon opening ShowingTime, you will be presented with a page similar to below. The first thing you want to do on this page is edit your profile by clicking on the portrait in the upper right hand corner or by hovering the mouse pointer over the portrait and clicking on Edit My Profile. Step 3 - Profile Basics The first section you want to work on when setting up your profile, is the profile basics section. Here you will be able to add various phone numbers and choose a phone that you want to use for Text Messages. *Note: You are also able to change other information, but changing your First Name, Last Name, or should only be done if needed, and only if you have already done so in Flex, as the information in ShowingTime does not update based on any changes made in Flex. When you enter in the desired phone numbers, you want to be sure you choose a phone type. For the mobile device type, once selected, the phone number will appear next to the Text Message field.
3 For multiple Mobile numbers, you will be able to choose which mobile device you want to receive text message from. (See steps 5,6, and 7 for further Text Message functionality.) Showing Pin This is a unique number to the agent as a means of identification and is used as an additional security measure when calling to make appointments. For appointments requested online, this isn t necessary since agents are authenticated through the MLS or through the mobile app. *Note: This field is not required, so if you are not interested in the additional security measure, just leave this field blank. Step 4 - Login Information In the Login Information section, you will be able to create a password for your ShowingTime account, which will allow you to be able to log into ShowingTime, via the ShowingTime website or mobile app, without having to go through Flex first. *Note: You are also able to change your username, but we highly advise against this as the username was pulled previously from Flex/Book-a-showing
4 Another great feature that is available, is the ability to add another profile that will be linked with your ShowingTime account. If you are a member of another MLS besides SEMR, you would normally have to view data from each MLS separately, but with ShowingTime, agents can link their ShowingTime Profiles so they can manage all their preferences, listings, showings and feedback in one place. It is also possible to unlink a profile later on, if necessary. Note* Your other MLS must also be using ShowingTime for this to function properly. Step 5 Listing Agent Preferences The Listing Agent Preferences section allows you to set up your default appointment and notification preferences If you plan on using ShowingTime as a listing agent, you want to make sure that you tick yes for the first option. *Note: If you choose no, you will not receive any notices or notifications as a listing agent through ShowingTime.
5 You also want to make sure to choose a default appointment mode. To do this click on the upside-down Triangle to the right of where it says Appontment Required and A menu will pop up with several options. Choose which option works best for you as a default for all listings. *Note: You are able to change the options on individual listings under the listings tab; these options are only used as a default if you do not make any changes to the showing settings for the individual listing.
6 You are also able to change how you would like to receive notifications for appointments on your listings, as well as, listing notices. For Appointment Notifications, you can choose between , text message, call, or a combination of your choosing. Listing Notices, if chosen can only be sent via . You can also set up your Feedback request preferences in this section. If you want to send feedback requests, be sure the first option Yes is ticked, then choose the number of times to resend and number of days between resends.
7 Step 6 Showing Agent Preferences The Showing Agent Preferences also you to edit settings for default appointments and notifications, if you plan on using ShowingTime as a showing agent. Choosing the type of notifications to receive is similar to the Listing agent preferences, however only appointment confirmations and cancellations can be sent via text message or phone call. Feedback requests - If you want to receive requests for feedback, make sure this box is checked off, otherwise remove the checkmark.
8 Multi-unit This option is for showings for Multi-unit listings. If you want to receive notifications per unit, select yes for this option. Appointment Scheduling For the following options you are able to set the default appointment type that will be sent when scheduling an appointment, and also the default length. The appointment types include: Showing, Agent Preview, Inspection, and Appraisal. The appointment lengths start at 15 minutes. and go up to 2 hours. *Note: These options can be changed when requesting showings, these are just preferred default scheduling options.
9 Lockbox Access You are also able to list the types of lockboxes that you can access. Choose Yes or No for these options. Step 7 Messaging Preferences, MLS and Office Message Preferences The Messaging preferences and MLS and Office Message Preferences, allow you to choose how you receive messages through ShowingTime (not to be confused with for showing or listing notifications) via , text message, both, or neither.
10 Step 8 Mobile App Access and Personal Information If you want easy access to the ShowingTime Mobile app, you can send yourself a link to the app via , which you can open on your mobile device, for a faster install! Just insert your , and click these Send App Link button. You can also add personal information if you would like to your ShowingTime profile as well, including your address, birthday, spouse, and anniversary date. Step 9 Extra options Appointment Download Service Key - This is a special key that is entered for agents/offices using another showing software as part of a special setup that allows ShowingTime to integrate with their software (as long as ShowingTime has an agreement with the other vendor). *Note: Contact ShowingTime for more information, if you are using another Showing software. Most agents do not need to worry about this feature. Upload Photo - Back at the top of the profile page, in the left-hand corner, you are able to upload a profile picture if you wish.
11 Calander Sync Below the Upload photo, you are able to sync your ShowingTime calendar to your personal calendar. This way you can keep all your appointments, whether they are personal or professional, all in one place. Mass Add Listing Note - Under the Calander Sync option, the Mass Add Listing Note feature allows agents to mass add showing instructions for the staff or showing agent to all their listings at one time rather than entering them individually. For example, they may want agents to Please remove shoes or wear booties when showing any of their properties so they can mass add that instruction using this feature. Resend Login - Most agents probably have several logins to remember (i.e. ShowingTime, Flexmls, social media sites, etc.) that it s difficult to keep track of them all. Just in case you forget your login information for ShowingTime, you can access your ShowingTime Profile through the Flex and click on the Resend Login button to resend your login credentials.
