1 Apple Schools Manager Registration Brief introduction In order for your new Mobile Management solution to be deployed you require both an Apple school manager account and a Lightspeed Mobile Device Management (MDM) account. This guide will show you how create the required accounts.

2 Lightspeed Mobile Management (MDM) Registration/Firewall Rules In order for your school to gain access to their Lightspeed Mobile Device Manager (MDM) account a call will need to be logged with BT Lancashire Services (BTLS). The school will need to request a Lightspeed Mobile Device Manager account setting up. As well as an MDM account you will want to double check with BTLS that there are no firewall rules that will prevent the downloading of IOS apps off the app store. Apple Schools Manager & Volume Purchase Program (VPP) Registration. Step One: Firstly you are going to want open Google and navigate to: Step Two: You will be presented with an Apple schools login page. Here you are going to want to press on Enrol Now (This can be found under Forgot Password ).

3 Step Three: You will now be presented with an enrol you institution page, please fill in your institutions details. Step Four: Fill in your details and add a verification contact (Please note that all details submitted will need to be verified by Apple so only provide valid details).

4 Step Five: Once the required details have been submitted you will be taken to a webpage that displays your enrolment progress. Step Six: Please note that Apple will contact the school within 5 working days to verify the school. This may be done by phone and or . Please ensure that the verification contact confirms the schools Apple enrolment. Step Seven: Once Apple have verified the school an will be sent to the details registered earlier. This will contain a link to create your school Apple ID. Click the link and you will be taken to the page below.

5 Step Eight: Click Create a Managed Apple ID. Step Nine: You will be presented with the page below. Create a Managed ID account (Please note that some school addresses cannot be used. If the address entered in this section does not work you will need to create an external outlook account at: and use this accounts address, please note down the accounts details as this account may need to be accessed by Western for verification purposes). Step Ten: Once your managed account has been created you will be asked to verify the and phone number linked to the managed account.

6 Step Eleven: Once the verification process has been completed you will be taken to the Apple setup assistant. Please follow the setup assistant s steps to get your account all setup. Step Twelve: Please make sure that your institutions tax status has been filled in. As this takes up to 5 working days to be verified by Apple (This can be done within Institution details ).

7 You have now finished the enrolment process! Please fill in the checklist below and return it to Western: where you can book your enrolment visit. Checklist Apple ID Username Lightspeed MDM Username Outlook (If Created) Two Factor Authentication Phone Number + Name Two Factor Address Apple ID Password Lightspeed MDM Password Outlook (If Created) Leave this section blank if you have used a school address. Western may phone this number when logging into this account for the first time to verify account creation. This is so we know who to contact if we require the authentication code. Note: Once the checklist has been submitted to Western an Apple technician will login to the accounts to ensure the account is ready for device enrolment.
