1 MathWorks MATLAB download & installation instructions 1. Get the software from by clicking on the Get MATLAB Software link. Login with your CSUF Portal username and password. 2. If you don t have a MathWorks account associated with your CSUF account, you will be asked to create one. If you already have an account you will be asked to login. 3. Download the software by clicking on the Download Products. You will need to select your operating system. 4. Install the software. Follow the installation steps. 2 1 Get the software & authenticate with MathWorks Steps Images Step One Go to /MatLab and click on Get MATLAB License link Step Two Enter your CSUF Portal username and password. Click on Login. Step Three If you don t have a MathWorks account associated with your CSUF account, you will be asked to create one. If you already have an account you will be asked to login. Proceed to step 7 2 Information Technology Student Technology Services
3 Step Four Create Account Before you can download the software you will need to create a MathWorks account. Click on Create. Accounts created using a non-campus address will not be eligible for the free license. Step Five Create Account Your CSUF address, First & Last names will be prepopulated. Enter a password of your choice. The password must be at least 8 characters, with at least one upper-case and one number. Click on Create. Note: Accounts created using a non-campus address will not be eligible for the free license. 3 Information Technology Student Technology Services
4 Step Six Verify your Account Verify your address. Login to your campus and look for the sent from MathWorks. Open the and click on the Verify your button. Note: You must complete this step before proceeding, otherwise your account will not be properly associated with the campus license. Step Seven Existing Account Users If you already have a MathWorks account associated with your CSUF , you will be prompted to login with that account. Click on Log In. 4 Information Technology Student Technology Services
5 Step Eight Existing Account Users Login with your CSUF address and the password you used when you created your MathWorks account. Click on Log In. 5 Information Technology Student Technology Services
6 2 Installing and Activating the Software The instructions for this guide were done on a PC; however the installation screens will be the same for a Mac. *This process requires an internet connection. Steps Step One New Accounts Images If you just created your account by following the steps above, once the account has been created you will directed to the download page. Click on R2017a and then proceed to step 3 If you are an existing user, proceed to step 2. Step Two If you logged in with your existing MathWorks account, you will see your account screen. To download the software click on the download icon under the My Software section. You will be re-directed Downloads page. Click on R2017a and then proceed to step 3 6 Information Technology Student Technology Services
7 Step Three Select your operating system. This guides shows the installation steps on Windows 64bit Operating System, but the remaining installation steps will be similar for other operating systems. Step Four The software will start downloading and extracting. Step Five Run the installer files. Select Log in with MathWorks Account and click Next. 7 Information Technology Student Technology Services
8 Step Six Confirm you have the Academic License and click Next. Step Seven Choose the products you want to install then click Next. Step Eight Choose your desired options then click Next. 8 Information Technology Student Technology Services
9 Step Nine Click Install. Step Ten Your software will be downloading and installing. This process may take a while depending on the products you ve chosen and your internet speed. Step Eleven Your software may require additional configuration steps based on the products you ve chosen. Click Next. 9 Information Technology Student Technology Services
10 Step Twelve Make sure to check Activate MATLAB. Then click Next. Step Thirteen Click Next. Step Fourteen Verify your username. Note: This is the username for your Windows / Mac computer. Do not change this to another username that is not the username on your computer. Click Next. 10 Information Technology Student Technology Services
11 Step Fifteen Confirm your License Number (it should always be ), your CSUF address, and your User Name. Click Confirm. Step Sixteen Your software will now be activated. Click Finished.
