3 Logging Into STAC 1) Open your browser to access the STAC link - 2) On this first screen, enter these credentials - Username: stac Password: stac15 3) On this second screen, enter YOUR credentials for STAC. This is usually your Address and the TEMPORARY password that the SAO provided. If you have already logged in to STAC previously but don t remember your password, simply click on the forgot your password link and STAC will send a temporary password to your Address. 3

4 4) When signing in for the first time with the temporary password, an additional screen will open and prompt you to change your password. When finished, click Ok. REMINDER: ** STAC will inactivate accounts after 90 days of inactivity. ** for STAC assistance 4

5 Screen Overview Search for Case/Defendant 5) Fill in one or more of the following fields to look up a case: Defendant Name (Last Name, First Name) Agency Officer Defendant Date of Birth Agency Report No Booking No Case/Clerk No 6) When you are done filling in your search criteria, click on the Search Button **TIP: When searching by Agency Report number, use the % sign in front and back of the number to receive better search results. Example: % % 5

6 7) STAC will show the results of the search, listed on the left. Select the case from the list on the left to preview. 6

7 Uploading Images 8) Using the search steps above, highlight the case that you would like to upload images to. 9) Once the case is highlighted, select the image evidence tab and choose the Add option. 10) Select the image type from the drop down menu. (Available image types are displayed below) Below are the available image types: Recording A/V Audio Video BAT BAT Filing BATSUPP BAT Supplement Booking Booking Slip CAD Computer Aid Dispatch Report CHEM Chemist Report CITATION Citation CONTACT No Contact Order CRASH Crash Report CS REPORT Crash Scene Report DEF Defendant Recorded Stmt FileSupp Supplemental Filing Reports INTAKE Intake Filing Package INVRPT Investigative Report JAIL CALLS JC TRANS LAB REPORT LINE UP MIRANDA NTA OFFENSE PAWN PC PHOTOS PRINTS PROPERTY RECORD V/W STATE Jail Calls Transcripts Photo Line Up Miranda Card Notice to Appear Offense Report Pawn Transaction Forms PC Affidavit Photographs Latent Print Report Property Reciepts Recorded Stmt Victim / Witness Written Statement 7

8 11) Add a comment if necessary. 12) Click on Drop file here (To Drag and Drop your Files) or click to upload and browse to the location of the file

9 13) Select Save to save the uploaded files to the case The allowed file types are:.ftr.pdf.xls.avi.jpg.mp3.mpeg.mp4.mpg.wma.m4a.xlsx.png.wmv.msg.mov.tif **NOTE: STAC will not accept.exe in the upload process. Any video or audio containing an.exe must be converted before uploading into STAC. If you are unable to see your recent uploads, first check that your Show: All is set correctly: 9

10 Logging out of STAC To log out of STAC, click on the user name displayed in the upper right hand corner and click Logout. 10
