SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS Procurement Department ADDENDUM # 2 To: File QQ for: Computer Literacy Training Services The following questions are asked: Question 1: Do you have to be registered with SAHA to bid on this contract? Answer 1: No. SAHA does not pre-qualify bidders. Question 2: What version of Windows is on the computers in the locations that the trainings will be held? Answer 2: Windows 10 Question 3: What are the demographics of the participants? Specifically ages of the participants. Answer 3: Ages may range from youth to adult elderly. Question 4: How will the classes be advertised to get participants? Answer 4: Flyers will be sent out to all residents and working closely with SAHA property personnel (ie. Case Managers). It will also be posted on SAHA s website.. Question 5: Can my company advertise we are working with SAHA if I get the contract? Answer 5: Any advertising of contracts affiliated with the San Antonio Housing Authority must be submitted for approval to the Communications and Public Affairs Department. Question 6: Will SAHA use my company name in the promoting of the class if I win the contract? Answer 6: No, this is a SAHA offered class and will be advertised as such. Question 7: If the goal is to reach/train 200 residents by December 2018 and it is reached earlier than December, with the contractor be penalized? If the goal of 200 residents is not met, is there a penalty to the contractor? Answer 7: No, the contractor will not be penalized for early completion. We expect the contractor to do their very best to complete our goal. Question 8: How will the attendees be reported for attendance of meeting the 200 resident goal? 3 Appendix A Computer Literacy Learning Outcomes (Training should include but not be limited to item here include) 1. Basic Technology Knowledge a. Hardware i. Distinguish between desktop and laptop computers. ii. Turn computer and monitor on and off iii. Identify specific computer hardware: a system unit, monitor, printer, keyboard, mouse or touchpad, USB port b. Mousing i. Identify types of mice: mouse and touchpad ii. Identify mouse pointer shapes and match them to the correct context of use: typing arrow (text), arrow (basic clicking), hand pointer (clickable links) iii. Demonstrate appropriate use and ability to right click and left click iv. Double click and right click v. Drag and drop vi. Use mouse to select checkboxes, use drop down menus and scroll c. Typing i. Demonstrate knowledge of function and placement of keys on keyboard: Enter, Shift, Ctrl, Backspace, Delete, Arrow Keys, Tab, Caps Lock, Number Lock 2. World Wide Web a. Basics i. Identify commonly used browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) and demonstrate knowledge of function. ii. Identify the address bar and enter a URL address. iii. Identify a website. iv. Identify a homepage. v. Identify the following browser toolbar buttons and demonstrate the ability to use them: home, refresh, stop, back, forward

4 vi. Identify a hyperlink and demonstrate the ability to use a hyperlink to access other webpages. vii. Create a new tab, open a webpage in a tab, and move between tabs. viii. Fill out an online form. ix. Identify search engines and enter search terms into the search engine. x. Identify common domain types: com, org, gov, edu. b. Safety i. Demonstrate knowledge that there are ways to increase Internet safety for children. ii. Avoid providing personal or financial information unless on a secured website ( iii. Identify pop up windows and close them. iv. Identify popup windows have been blocked and enable individual popup windows as needed v. Correctly enter CAPTCHA security codes. c. Accessibility i. Use scroll bars to view different portions of web pages ii. Use zoom function to enlarge image (CTRL+ or CTRL ) iii. Enlarge the displayed text size d. Service Providers 3. Operating Systems i. Identify an Internet Service Provider and identify the main options for connecting to the internet: Dial- up, High Speed (cable or DSL), or wireless connection. a. Basics i. Identify the operating system used by a computer. ii. Shutdown, restart, and log off a computer. iii.open, close and switch between windows iv.minimize and maximize windows v.identify the toolbar and menus. vi.identify the taskbar.

5 vii.identify drives on a computer: CD/DVD, floppy, hard drive (C), USB port, network drives (A, B, D, F, H, etc.) viii. Access the help menu. b. Files i. Identify the desktop. ii. Demonstrate knowledge of file organizational systems and use it to locate files/documents (desktop, My Document, My Computer) iii. Use "Search" to locate a file or document iv. Delete documents or files. c. Programs i. Start, and exit programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ii. Identify basic office software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), demonstrate knowledge of their functions, and identify their corresponding file extensions. iii.
