3 1. Registering new libraries with the Interlibrary Loan Service Libraries must register online before they can use the Interlabrary Loan Service. To do so, go to the BNE website > Services > Interlibrary loan > Service for libraries. Click on Request form for libraries and then click on First time registration. 3

8 1. Registering new libraries with the Interlibrary Loan Service The registration request form is sent to the Interlibrary Loan Service by . The Interlibrary Loan Service staff will check the library s information. The Interlibrary Loan Service will register the library and send them a notification by informing them of their website authentication and access credentials: Login/Username and Password. The library may then log in and make requests online. 8

9 2. Sending library loan requests via web form Go to the BNE website> Services > Interlibrary loan > Service for libraries and click on Request form for libraries. 9

Sending library loan requests via web form Enter the log-in details that appear in the confirmation sent to the library during registration to Access to system: Login/Username If you forget it you can ask the Interlibrary Loan Service. Password If you forget it you can enter your Username and click on Remember my password,or ask the Interlibrary Loan Service. 10

14 2. Sending library loan requests via web form You may also search for the document in the BNE catalogue and select Request by ILL (libraries only) and enter the Login Credentials. 14

15 3. Modify the library s information To modify the library s information, click on Request form for library, enter the log-in credentials, and select the user menu option: Update your details. 15

17 4. Change the library s password To change the library s password, go to Request form for libraries, enter the log-in credentials and select the user menu option Change your password. 17

19 5. Checking the processing status of requests To check the processing status of the library s requests, go to Request form for libraries, enter the log-in credentials and select the user menu option Check the progress of your ILL request. 19

Checking the processing status of request The library can track the processing status of its requests: Requests pending (checks are being done before providing access to the requested document), Requested (access to the requested document is being managed), Received (the original document has been sent via loan, or a reproduction has been sent, and the library has been notified). 20
