3 1. Introduction For working with clients by electronic means, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) offers Client Communication Platforms (CCP). The CCP spaces are located in the high security data center of the PwC GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Frankfurt Germany. The CCP spaces offer data rooms for working together on information and data with PwC and client teams. CCPs allows an efficient, safe and professional collaboration with our clients. CCP spaces comply with high IT security and data privacy requirements. Therefore, CCP spaces are protected by the so-called 2-factor-authentification. The purpose of this paper is to guide you as an external client through the 2-factor authentication process to enter a CCP space as a client. Authentication Process 2.1 Initial Access When you access a CCP space first time with your new account, you will need to change your initial password If you have an account, skip this and directly pass through to your CCP space You will get an automatically generated from PwC with your initial password, which you need for the first registration in the CCP Here you will find the initial password for the registration 4

5 Now enter the CCP with the link to your space from your PwC contact. Here you have to log in with your address. 5

6 After clicking the LogIn Button the system will recognize you as an external (clients and visitors) user. Enter your initial password and continue by clicking the Log In Button As explained above your initial password can be used only one time After the first Log In you have to change your password as follows: (1) Enter your current password, which is the initial password (2) Then create a new password (3) Confirm the new password (4) Finalize the password changing process by clicking submit 6

7 Your new password has to fulfill the following requirements: The green checkmarks indicate which requirements are fulfilled. (In this example you can see that the new password does not meet the requirement with the upper case letter and the new password is marked with a red cross.) 7

8 After entering your new password you have to confirm it. If all requirements for the new password are fulfilled and the Confirm Password equals the new password, you will see only green checkmarks. 8

9 Then you can proceed by clicking Submit 9

10 After changing your password you have to select and answer three security questions. If you forget your password or want to manage your account, you will be asked to answer your security questions. If answered correctly, you will be permitted to perform your requested action. 10

11 Choose three question and answer them. Be sure that the answers are memorable, not easy to guess and have 3 characters at least. 11

12 After clicking Submit you will reach the home page of your space or the My Spaces page. Here you can see all CCP instances to which you have access. 12

13 2.2 Log In Process After clicking the desired CCP you will get to the Log In mask Enter your and click Log In Now insert your new password and log in. 13

14 2.3 Entering your One-Time-Password After logging in with your and password, you still need to enter your One-Time- Password that has been sent to your mobile phone via SMS. The SMS message looks like in the following picture. Please be aware that all SMS clients of all modern phones are supported. Please type in the One-Time-Password where prompted. 14
