3 Why the Tracker is Used The Tracker is a database tool that allows The National Graduate School (NGS) to track students progress throughout their Bachelor s/master s and DBA program. It is safe and secure. It allows one sign-on per team/individual account. Using the tracker, NGS is able to catalog, archive and report on all student projects/dissertations electronically The National Graduate School of Quality Management 3

4 Who Needs an Account? Cert/BS/MS Students: Only one person per group needs to fill out the form. NGS will then create a team login for you and send the login instructions to the person who requested the account. Your tracker login account will be a team alias (i.e. 314teamquality@ngs.edu). Any sent to that account will forward to all the accounts provided on the tracker request form. Certificate students can use the BS or MS form to request an account. The person who requested the account will then distribute the login information to the remaining teammates. DBA Students: Please fill out the tracker request form with your information. NGS will then create a login for you using your NGS issued student address The National Graduate School of Quality Management 4

5 Obtaining an Account: Step 1 Within your Course Materials section of the course, in the Left column under Links, Click on the Tracker Request Form The National Graduate School of Quality Management 5

6 Obtaining an Account: Step 2 Select your degree level, fill out and submit the form. BS and MS students will need to fill out team member s information as well as a team name. DBA students can simply input their name, cohort, and address. Your cohort can be found at the top of your class schedule. (Cohort example: 314 Online MS) Once the form is submitted you will receive login instructions via *Note that account could take up to 48hrs to process your account. 7 Logging in 1. Open the from NGS which contains your login credentials 2. Go to 3. Click on Create a log-in 4. Enter the account address exactly how it was listed in the confirmation from NGS The National Graduate School of Quality Management 7

8 Logging in (Cont.) Since NGS has already created an account for you, all you will need to do is create a password and choose a security question. (Remember to write this information down) Click Register to complete the registration The National Graduate School of Quality Management 8

9 Finalizing Your Account Quickbase will automatically send a confirmation to the address that NGS has linked to the Tracker account. Click the link within the verification to finalize your account. You can then go to and login anytime. If you are a BS/MS student and have other team members using the account, please do not forget to send them the account login details. Your address You re Done! 10 Accessing the Tracker Go to Login using your issued Team NGS address. If you have forgotten the address that was created for you, please and they will provide you with the information you need The National Graduate School of Quality Management 10

11 Accessing the Tracker (Cont.) Once logged in, you will see the Tracker app listed which you have been granted access. Click the app to enter the Tracker The National Graduate School of Quality Management 11

12 Adding Your Project/Dissertation Within the tracker, click on the projects button. Click the green to begin your entry process. This area will allow you to fill out all of the required information for your project/dissertation. Be sure to save your progress once you have finished entering data into the fields. If you have any proprietary information that you would only like visible to your instructor, please click the check box accordingly. You will need to upload your final versions of your NGS project/dissertation. You can do so by clicking the button The National Graduate School of Quality Management 12

13 Finding and Viewing Projects/Dissertations As an NGS student, you will have access to view past student projects within the database. To view any project, click the button. You can scroll through the submissions, or use the search to find specific projects to view. To view a project, click on the project name or click on the view button. The quickest way to find your own project/dissertation is to click search on the top of the page then perform a search on any field that coincides with your project. You can search by: First name, last name, team name, class location, etc The National Graduate School of Quality Management 13

14 Editing Your Project/Dissertation Once you perform a search and locate your project: Click on the pencil to edit the entry. You can also open your project by clicking on your project name and click the button The National Graduate School of Quality Management 14
