3 The scenario is you have older 2G or/and 3G, or/and 4G or/and readers in Secure Admin

4 Now you want to add a Sigma or Sigma Lite reader to Secure Admin

5 Requirements Secure Admin Software 4.1.2X.X.X or higher Morpho Tool Box 3.X.X **MSO does require a Verif Licenses *MSO 300/350/1300 MSO might be needed depending on Template type, explained later on this document

6 Sigma to L1 Legacy

7 Sigma to L1 Legacy Access Path>Click on the Lock Default password 12345

8 Sigma to L1 Legacy Access Path>Click System Menu

9 Sigma to L1 Legacy Access Path> First Boot Assistant > Protocol Configuration Once you make the change click on the check Mark Once the protocol selected is saved. The terminal will be required to reboot to make the change in legacy modes. When one protocol is switched to another, MorphoAccess SIGMA Series terminal will erase entire configuration and user database; except communication links and language settings.

10 Sigma Lite to L1 Legacy

11 Equipment needed USB to Micro-USB Cable straight through Flash drive from 4 GB to 16 GB on USB 2.0 SIGMA Lite will only read/write to USB drives formatted in FAT or FAT32 POE Power or separate power *POE=Power over Ethernet

12 Morpho Tool Box Morpho Tool Box 3.X.X and Higher Download it from Unzip it and install on your PC

13 Launch Morpho Tool Box Open up Morpho Tool box and click on third Icon from top to bottom

14 Tool Box, L1 Legacy configuration In Morpho Tool box and click on Change protocol configuration

15 L1 Legacy Tool Box, configuration Changing the Sigma Lite to L1 Legacy mode can only be used with Secure Admin Software** **Recommended to use Secure Admin

16 Tool Box, write USB script Once you have set your configuration click on write to USB script

17 Tool Box, write USB script Browse to your Flash drive to write the script

18 Add configuration to Sigma Lite Separated plug from the USB port and plug in Micro USB to Female USB adaptor with Flash drive

19 Example Picture With power to the Sigma Lite reader, when plug in Flash drive reader should flash and turn green and reboot.

21 Working with Secure Admin

22 Registering reader in Secure Admin Now you have changed the Sigma or Sigma Lite reader to L1 Legacy mode

23 Secure Admin Software Please use Secure Admin 4.1.2X.X.X or higher Download it from

24 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Client if using Static IP

25 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Client if using Static IP In Secure Admin go to>network>register via Client if your using Static IP

26 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Client Register Via Client put in the IP address and click next and follow the wizard to the end

27 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Client Click OK to finish the registration

28 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Server if using DHCP

29 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Server if using DHCP In Secure Admin go to>network>register via Server if your using DHCP

30 Registering reader in Secure Admin via Server if using DHCP Click on Search Automatically the reader will appear with a plus sign

37 Scenario One Save to your devices 4G/ Sigma/ Sigma lite reader

38 Scenario Two You are using Sigma Series readers in L1 Legacy mode and 2G/3G/4G readers using Secure Admin You are currently using TMS, MTM, templates Using MSO

39 Scenario Two Use MSO + 4G Fingerprint for enrollment Do your basic enrollment Scenario two makes you to capture the same finger on the MSO and the 4G reader

40 Scenario Two Enroll using the MSO

41 Scenario Two Now do a second capture same finger using the 4G reader

43 Scenario Two Save to your devices 4G/ Sigma/ Sigma lite reader

44 Scenario Three You are only using Sigma Series readers in L1 Legacy mode and with no other type of devices Using MSO

45 Scenario Three Go to Tools>options

46 Scenario Three Check the box that says Skip finger capture on L1 Legacy Device during MSO Enrollment and hit Apply

47 Scenario Three Enrollment Use MSO + 4G Fingerprint for enrollment

49 Scenario Three Current device would be one of the Sigma/Sigma Lite readers

52 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader This next few steps is with a existing Database of either BUR, TEM or VUR templates.

53 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader Go to Templates>expand the device network>group where you will see your reader(s)

54 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader Double click on Database

55 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader Click on the check box Select All

56 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader Right click and copy

57 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader Click on the Sigma reader and right click and Paste

58 Copy Templates from Database to Sigma/Sigma Lite reader Follow the prompt

76 Questions and Answers Can I use a Sigma series reader for enrollment like a 4G reader? Unfortunately that is not possible Can I transfer a TMS, MTM templates to a Sigma? No only TEM, BUR, VUR can be transferred to the Sigma series The template type says N/A General tab of Secure Admin why? The Sigma series only use a PK-Lite templates which is not listed under this tab If the reader uses Pk-Lite templates why can I transfer TEM, BUR, VUR? The software basically makes a copy of those template and converts them to a PK- Lite template. Why do I need to use Secure Admin ? This version of software is built to see the Sigma series product line Can I communicate to the Sigma series reader using a USB cable? The Sigma Series reader can communicate via IP or 485 in Secure Admin I get a missing License error when I try to enroll with a MSO in Secure Admin The MSO requires a Verif license to work with Secure Admin, this license needs to be purchased and added to the MSO
