1. Log in to IBTP A. Log in to IBTP through the SSO portal B. Click the EDUCATORS link C. If it is your first time to log in to the SSO using the computer, you will have to select Polk County School District from the drop-down box. D. Log in with your PCSB credential including E. Select IBTP-Test Platform from the choices under Resources & Assessments Log in with PCSB 2. Once signed into IBTP, hover over Assessment Admin, then select Create:
3. Once you begin the Manual Test creation, you will enter in the name of the test and select the subject and grade level. Please use the district s naming protocol for assessments that you create:
4. Regardless of how many items you want to put on your test, always choose 1 as the number of items. You can opt to create a test for your classroom only, or, if you want to share with other teachers at your school, as a School Interim Assessment: 5. You can select your preferred score type, and use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate standards for your test: 6. Select No for Answer Key Only and for Enable Assessment Notes. 7. Under Initial Item Settings, you can decide if you want to allow your students to use manipulatives and tools like rulers or calculators on all questions, or if this will be dependent on the individual items. You can also adjust the layout of your multiple choice items:
8. Test item settings will allow you to set up the test to allow student comments, or to control privacy settings like hiding the test item content from the test results that the students see: 9. You can use the Optional field to enter a description of the test, if you would like to. 10. Click Generate test:
11. From here, you have several choices. If you are writing your own item, click on one of the item types listed here (see separate directions for how to create an item in the IBTP). This tutorial will focus on using items that are already created, so you will click on Lookup in Item Central: 12. The easiest way to search is to drill down by filters. First, click on Subject, to narrow your search to items available for your subject only: 13. When you click on subject, you will see the subject appear as a filter, and you will see your total number of available items appear (10,987 in this example):
14. Click on Grade next, then select the grade level for which you are seeking items. You will see that the number of available items now drops significantly (808), as we drill down. 15. Click on Standards next, then use the drop-down menu to select your correct set of standards:
16. Click on the + signs to expand out your standard selection, and put a check in the box of the standards for which you are seeking items. You will see your available number of items appear next to each: 17. As you put a checkmark in each box, you will notice that standard appear in your list of filters. When you re ready, click View Results:
18. Your items will then display. When you find an item that looks good, you can click on View to see its additional attributes, including cognitive complexity level (Webb s DOK):
19. Put a check mark in the box next to each item you d like to add to the test, then click Add Items to Test: 20. Once your test is created, you can preview it online, or you can generate a printed version of the student test booklet. Before you can schedule the test, you will need to make it public (it will still only be visible by teachers and administrators, not by students). 21. If you find an error with a specific item, you can report the item to the help desk at ienhelp@fldoe.org. You will need to include the Item Name, found under Properties when you are viewing the item: 22. For assistance with IBTP, contact the AAE contact or the IBTP Help Desk at
