1 ebooks FAQs Keele University Library uses four different ebook platforms for the majority of its ebooks. This means that the ebooks you use may sometimes look a little bit different. To assist you, use the table below. Dawsonera Myilibrary EBSCO ebook Ebook Central Do I need a username & password to access ebooks on-campus? NO Do I need a password to access ebooks offcampus? username and password Is there a limit to the number of users who can access ebooks at any one time? Not normally limited, but there are some exceptions. Single user licence is marked on Library Search. Normally limited to 3 users, although some are single user. 4 Can I copy and paste content from an ebook? Yes - click on Copy. You will be told how many pages you can copy content from. You can select an area, or entire page. This can only be done when the ebook is read online. Yes, but there is a 10% limit to what you can copy. Click on the download icon, and select the pages you require. Copy the text from the downloaded PDF. Not normally, as there are copy and paste restrictions on many titles. Yes, but publishers limit the number of pages that can be copied. If you want to copy the entire page, click the copy icon. If you want to copy selected text from a page, select the text and then click on the copy icon. Can I make notes and save them? Yes, click on Notes. You can add, edit, import and export notes. Yes but you will need to create an account by registering an address. Once done, click on Add note/view a Note you can make notes and save them. Yes, but you will need to create an account. Once created, you can add a New Note and also view My Notes Yes, click on the notes icon add your note and click save. The notes icon appears at the top left of the page that you added your note.

5 Can I download an ebook? Yes, click on download. Please note that there are different download periods for each book. Not all ebooks are available as a full download. Look out for Add to bookshelf for Download. Not all ebooks are available as a download. For any that are you will need to create/login to an ESBCO account to check availability and to download. Not all books are available as a full download. Books available for download have different loan lengths.
