1 Date: January 11, 2012 To: Subject: Westat Data Collectors Voice Authentication Beginning Wednesday, January 18, 2012, all staff will need to follow the Voice Authentication procedure outlined below before logging into Westat Remote Access (Metaframe). This step will need to be done every time you log in. Step 1: Verify your Credentials Using the Voice Authentication System Every DC will need to verify using Voice Authentication before logging onto the Metaframe to work their scheduled shift. If you do not verify, or if you do not pass verification, you will not be allowed to log into the Metaframe. All Verifications must be done on a LANDLINE! You will have 10 minutes to log into our system after you are verified. If you log out or are kicked off the system during your shift, you will need to re-verify prior to logging back in. Verification Steps: 1. Call You will enter you Westat Identification Number (WINS #) 3. After the tone please repeat the phrase: "My voice is my password". Press the pound or hash key (#) when you finish speaking. 4. You will receive one of the following results: a. If you are NOT VERIFIED Sorry, the phrase was not matched. Please repeat the phrase My voice is my password after the tone. Press the pound or hash key (#) when you're finished speaking. i. You will have 2 attempts to verify. If you have not verified on your second attempt you will receive the following message: Thank you. The phrase was not matched. Your identity has not been confirmed. If this is your first attempt, please call back to try again. Check your WINS or Westat ID number, make sure you are dialing from your

-2- landline, and speak in a normal voice. If this is already your second try, contact TRCJobs@Westat.com to report the situation. Goodbye. b. If you are VERIFIED Thank you.

Your identity has been confirmed. Please continue the log-in process on your PC. Goodbye. i. Now that you are verified, you will have up to ten (10) minutes to log into our system. If you are unable to log into the system in that time, you will need to re-verify thru the voice authentication process again. Step 2: Log in to Metaframe to begin your shift as you normally would: Using Internet Explorer, go to: If you look to the right, under the red bar, it lists Important Messages for each shift, please ensure that you read this screen prior to logging in. There is also a Welcome Tab and a Message Center tab. Please note any information that appears here as there may be messages that are important to you. Also note that there is a place to Click here to download the Citrix client, if needed.

The Client Type should show as Local Client, if you show a different client type, click on the drop down and choose Local Client.

3 -3- Before you key in your credentials, please, look at the item titled Advanced Options>>>. Check this tab prior to logging on. Make sure language is set to English DO NOT change to any other language. The Client Type should show as Local Client, if you show a different client type, click on the drop down and choose Local Client. If Local Client is not an available option, download the Citrix Client under the Welcome tab. Log in using your WINS # as the Username and your Metaframe password, which should be the same as your Spark password.

4 -4- Now you are at the screen to select the appropriate Project Platform. If you are working a Cheshire or Blaise Study, you will select and click on the Interviewer Desktop icon If you are working on a Voxco Study, you will click on the IE Voxco icon. You have now successfully logged in. You are now at the TRC Home Page where you will select your project and begin production. The first screen will ask you to log into Telephony. Enter your CATI initials and leave the password as it is. Click on Login.

5 -5- You will now receive a Phone Configuration box. In this box, leave the Phone Type as Outside/Home Phone. Enter in the phone number associated with the carrel that you are in. Each carrel should have the telephone number displayed. Click OK.

Step 3: Log Out of Metaframe at the end of your shift To log out, you need

You now need to click the LOG OFF button in order to successfully log off the system.

7 -7- Click on the X for Interviewer Desktop to close the application. The system now brings you back to the Metaframe Screen. You now need to click the LOG OFF button in order to successfully log off the system. It is important that you log off when you have finished production for your shift. YOU MUST click on the LOG OFF icon when your shift has officially ended.

8 Click on the RED X at the top of the corner. You have successfully completed the log off process. -8-
