4 December 13: Release On-Demand Transcription Service: United States General Availability In October we announced early access to the on-demand transcription service. This month we are pleased to announce the general availability of this service. The Evidence.com on-demand transcription service allows you to order transcriptions of any video or audio stored in Evidence.com, such as body camera video, in-car video, interviewroom video and audio, and Axon Capture recordings. Transcriptions are normally completed within 24 hours of the request. After transcripts are completed, they are automatically stored in Evidence.com as accompanying metadata for easy access and sharing, without jeopardizing the chain of custody. Transcriptions are rendered by a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)-compliant provider on a pay-as-you-go basis using US-based transcriptionists. Agencies that allow officers to verbally summarize report information in a recording or to a secretary to be typed out can use the transcription service for this purpose by having the officer record and upload the report to Evidence.com. The Evidence.com on-demand transcription service currently integrates with SpeakWrite for transcriptions. For more information about SpeakWrite, please visit: We will announce partnerships with other law-enforcement transcription providers as they become available. Note: This service is currently only available for customers in the United States, but will be expanding to other regions in the future. Transcription Service Setup Administrators can set up the transcription service for their agency in the Agency Settings - Transcription Settings section of Evidence.com. This involves creating an account with SpeakWrite and linking that account information to your Evidence.com Agency. Additionally, the Order Transcript permission must be enabled in Evidence.com for the appropriate Roles before users can order a transcript. TASER International, Inc. Page 4 of 9

5 Requesting Transcriptions Users with Order Transcript permission can request transcriptions of any video or audio stored in Evidence.com. Transcripts are ordered when viewing evidence by selecting the Transcript tab and clicking Order Transcript. Transcriptions are normally completed within 24 hours of the request. After transcriptions are completed, they are automatically stored in Evidence.com as accompanying metadata. Sharing Transcripts When your agency shares video or audio evidence, any associated transcripts ordered by your agency are also shared with the selected users, agencies, or cases. However, if the recipient of the shared video or audio evidence orders a transcript, that transcript is not shared back to your agency. This ability will be available in a future release. Large Video Playback Support With the December release we have improved the playback experience for long videos, making it easier to view and work with those videos. The new functionality allows users to more accurately set markers and create clips in long videos, along with providing finer controls for editing and redaction. For all videos that are 10 minutes or more in length, new controls and elements were added to the video navigation area. The new controls and elements are shown and described on the next page. 6 1. Time Slide Bar: Changes the section of the overall timeline that is shown. The size and position of the slide bar changes as the Zoom Slider is used zoom in or out of the timeline. 2. Time Marks: These provide additional guides for users, showing which part of video is being viewed and providing a time interval reference. As a user zooms in or out the timeline, the time values shown under the bar and intervals between marks change. 3. Blue Scrub Bar with vertical position line: Provides an indication of where you are in the video, as well as showing current buffer state in lighter blue. As video plays back the blue scrub bar grows and vertical line moves. When paused, this line acts as the placeholder for creating a new marker, clip, or redaction. 4. Hover line: When you position your mouse pointer over the navigation area, a grey vertical line appears showing a thumbnail with the video time. The thumbnail and time are updated as the pointer is moved. Clicking on navigation area jumps the blue scrub bar with vertical line to that point and updates main player. When the mouse pointer is not over navigation area, the hover line and thumbnail are no longer shown. 5. Zoom Slider: Zooms in or out of the timeline. Zooming in allows users to be more precise when working with markers, clips, and editing tools. Axon Body 2 and Axon Flex 2 Camera Audit Trail Information This release introduces audit trail information for the Axon Body 2 and Axon Flex 2 cameras. The device audit trail shows events, actions, and changes for the selected camera. The audit information can be filtered to a particular date range or show the entire life of the camera. The audit information is available in both PDF and comma-separated values (CSV) format. Note: Only the camera registration, status change, and assignment information is currently available. The other events listed will be available with the v1.8 firmware release for Axon Body 2 and Flex 2 units, which will be available on all units in early The audit trail is generated and viewed from the Device Summary page by clicking Audit Trail. Issues Resolved in We resolved the following issues in this Evidence.com release: Resolved an issue where, due to a bug in Apple ios 10, the Evidence.com video player was not functioning on mobile devices when using the Safari mobile browser for ios 10. Resolved an issue that occasionally occurred with the checksum value shown. Axon View The Axon View for ios release was delayed until mid-december. The release contains the following enhancements: Support for Axon Flex 2 cameras. Early Access Programs While the following features and applications are in development, they are available to agencies who request early access. 9 Automatic User and Group Provisioning with Azure AD Evidence.com can support System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) provisioning of users and groups. With SCIM, agencies can synchronize their Microsoft Azure Active Directory to automatically create, update, and inactivate user accounts and groups in their Evidence.com agency.
