1 DigiVac ReAct Applet User Guide Overview version K12D03 The DigiVac ReAct Applet is available in the DigiVac Model 200, Model 201, and Model 215 controller when configured with the Ethernet option. The ReAct Applet presents a graphical user interface in any one desktop web browser for visualizing and logging as many as three vacuum sources, and can define two set points as well as the 201 optional Vacuum Level Control (VLC PID Control).

2 Opening From a desktop web browser, open the (name or) address of the Model 201 Ethernet adapter (for example ). Only one computer may open this URL at once, as only one network client may attach to the Model 201 telemetry and telecommand port (TCP 10001) at one time. A web browser with Java will launch the applet as shown above. If the applet fails to launch... and the browser shows the blue background shown above: check that Java is installed (check about:plugins in Firefox or Chrome ) and the browser does not show the blue background: check the instrument and address Display The ReAct Applet has three principal display user interfaces: Graphs, Controls, and Terminal. Graphs The Graphs display visualizes a current window of data from the instrument controller. This window in time is called the Domain, and is measured in Hours, Minutes and Seconds elapsed time according to the desktop host computer clock.

3 Controls The Controls display provides interactive Set Points and Graph display colors. It also provides the Logging user interface, as well as entry buttons for the Domain and Range configuration options. Configuration information is saved on the desktop computer via the Java platform preferences database.

4 Domain The Domain configuration defines the Graph elapsed time, as well as a label alias for the instrument controller.

5 Range The Range configuration permits the editing of data labels and the modification of data Graph colors, as well as modification of Range scale as logarithmic or bounded.

6 Terminal The Terminal interface is a simulation of the instrument controller telemetry and telecommand interface (TCP 10001). The simulation architecture of the Terminal permits the ReAct Applet to continue logging and data collection while the Terminal operates with a degree of independence.

7 Connectivity The instrument IP address is opened in a web browser to reach the Applet, as described above. The IP address can be ping ed from the desktop command line using the expression ping ip.ad.dr.es which will test the network connectivity. If this fails, there is a problem with power or cabling or network configuration. If this succeeds and the Applet fails to operate correctly, please close the browser and wait a couple minutes before trying again. The instrument permits only one connection at a time. The desktop operating system may take some time (as much as a minute or two) to terminate a connection once it s created. For these reasons, it s possible to experience the exclusivity of the instrument ethernet device as an Applet failure.

9 Troubleshooting Below is what is required to run on Windows7, 8 & 10. Java does not run on Chrome, so you need to use the Mozilla browser Make sure Java is installed Update Java if it asks.

10 Uninstall out of date Java versions (if it doesn t conflict with anything else you run on this computer) Verify J

11 Open up the Java Control panel (in windows control panel) and click on the security tab, and add the IP/web URLs for the vacuum gauge, then click OK

12 Close and reopen mozilla browser Go to the URL/IP address of your vacuum gauge, click on accept risk and run (if you see this, it has to do with our digital certificate being out of date. We are working on renewing this...

13 Go to IP address of DigiVac gauge, and click on allow and remember You should now see the DigiVac Applet
