1 How to Install the uniflow Printer on your Mac These instructions provide step-by-step detail on loading the Mac client and driver to your Mac. You must remove all current uniflow printers prior to following this routine. MAKE SURE YOU USE SARIFI TO COMPLETE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. THINGS MAY NOT WORK THE SAME IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE CHROME OR ANY OTHER BROWSER YOU MUST BE CONNECT TO THE GPISD DOMAIN (AT WORK) IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THESE STEPS. THIS WILL NOT WORK FROM YOUR HOUSE. Please load the driver defined for your school as indicated in the details below. 2 1. Open a web browser in Safari and go to this address: 2. Select the Resources button 3. Select the bottom option to install the Mac client and the printer. The DMG file will be downloaded to your Download folder.

3 4. Select the Downloads button 5. Select InstallUniFLOWMacClientWithUDP rint.dmg to unzip the file to a desktop folder. 6. The install folder will automatically open. Double-click the icon to start the installation.

4 7. Select Continue 8. Select Install 9. You will need to provide your login credentials. Enter them and select Install Software

5 10. Configuration will start 11. Using the table on page 1, select the appropriate server for your school. For those of you who visit multiple schools, select the one for the school you visit the most. The entry will be either Canon203 or Canon204 Select OK 12. Again, you will be requested to enter your login credentials. After entering your information, select Install Software

6 13. Based on the server you selected in step 11, enter the name of the printer exactly as below: CanonStaff203_MAC or CanonStaff204_MAC and select OK 14. Repeat the entry here and select OK 15. Select OK

7 16. Select Close 17. Click anywhere directly on the desktop to get the Finder menus. Select Go, then select Applications 18. Find and double-click the System Preferences icon. It may also be in your Dock

8 19. At the bottom of Systems Preferences is a new icon MacClientConfig You will need to configure the client prior to printing. Double-click on this icon 20. Select OK 21. Enter the print server name you entered on Step 11 and add :8000 (colon 8000) after: Canon203:8000 Or Canon204:8000 Now check the box Popup for every job This pop-up allows you to set you options (# of copies, two-sided, stapled, etc.) and submit your job. If you do not check this box, your jobs will not be released to the printer.

9 Select Save 22. To ensure that the app starts every time you log in, you need to add it to your login preferences. From System Preferences, doubleclick the icon Users & Groups 23. Ensure your name is highlighted on the left, then select Login Items 24. Select the Lock to allow changes

10 25. Enter your credentials 26. The lock will appear unlocked 27. Select the plus (+) sign

11 28. Select Applications 29. Scroll down and open the UniFLOW folder 30. Select the MacClient icon and select Add

12 31. Do not check the checkbox. Close the window 32. Restart you Mac 33. Once you login after the restart, you should see the NTware button on your Mac Menu Bar. NOTE: If you are having trouble printing jobs (jobs not appearing in queue), check to see if this icon is on the Menu Bar. If not, reboot your Mac.

13 34. To verify your settings are correct, you can select the NTware icon and select Preferences 35. Your preferences should look like this. If they don t, return to Step 17. Close this window. You are now ready to print.
