These flanges and components are a comprehensive family of high vacuum building block components. ll "KEY SPEEDY" components are manufactured to exact ISO specifications. The International Standards Organization has defined the standard metric interface dimensions, which allows interchangeability of ISO compliant components. The tube diameters of the "KEY SPEEDY" ISO flanges have been adjusted slightly by KEY HIGH VUUM PRODUTS, IN. to meet the closest standard domestic tubing found in the US (inch sizes). The "KEY SPEEDY" ISO system offers flanges, elbows, tees, crosses, reducers, valves, traps, adapters, etc., which allow extensive versatility. The ISO interface system on this extensive array of components permit complete systems to be designed and produced rapidly by equipment builders using standard "off the shelf" components. complete ISO clamp assembly consists of two identical flanges, clamp or clamps, centering ring, which aligns the flanges and prevents the o-ring from collapsing while being subjugated to high vacuum. "KEY SPEEDY" ISO flanges themselves are infinitely rotatable solving alignment issues. NW 10 through NW 50 "KEY SPEEDY" ISO components use a single hinged aluminum clamp with a single wing nut permitting quick easy one-hand assembly. Simply tighten the wing nut, which in turn applies a downward pressure on the flanges to generate a leak tight seal. Hinged clamps should be finger tightened only until both flanges are firmly in contact with the o-ring seal. "KEY SPEEDY" ISO flanges and components with viton o-rings can bake to 205 intermittently while under vacuum. However, sustained baking about 160 will cause typical viton o-rings to deteriorate rapidly. una o-rings are bakeable for short periods to 100 intermediately; sustained baking should not be performed above 80. In clean baked systems with viton seals pressures of 10-9 torr can be attained and in clean baked systems with buna seals pressures of 10-7 torr can be attained. KEY HIGH VUUM PRODUTS, IN. is now pleased to offer "SERIES 316L KEY SPEEDY" ISO components. s the name implies, these components are manufactured from select grades of certified 316L stainless steel. "SERIES 316L KEY SPEEDY" stainless steel ISO vacuum fittings and components from KEY HIGH VUUM PRODUTS, IN. are ideal if greater corrosion resistance is required than is available from the standard grade of 30 ISO components. 316L stainless steel is the "next step up" from 30 as 316L stainless steel has virtually the same mechanical, physical and fabrication characteristics as 30 with the added benefit of superior corrosion resistance. orrosion resistance Grade 316L has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of media. The corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel alloys varies from good to excellent, depending on alloy content. The most common austenitic stainless steel is type 30, which contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel. In addition to the alloying variation of standard 30 stainless steel; 316L stainless steel has higher chromium, and nickel levels, and has the added benefit of molybdenum to improve the aspect of corrosion resistance. Typical pplications "SERIES 316L KEY SPEEDY" components are suggested for high temperature or corrosive applications commonly found in the semiconductor industries. Type 316L stainless steel is also well suited for high temperature applications that require relatively high strengths up to 1500 F. Like other austenitic stainless steel, 316L has excellent toughness down to the temperatures of liquefied gases and has application at these temperatures, however lower cost grades such as 30 are usually selected for cryogenic vessels. nother benefit like other austenitic grades, 316L in the annealed condition is virtually non-magnetic.
